Silver bowl and plate with intricate designs over the surfaces, the bowl with Islamic script.
The plate measures 6 3/4" in diameter, and the bowl is 4 7/8" in diameter and 1 7/8" deep.
Both pieces have traditional islamic and Persian designs, with cross designs, arabesque forms, and elaborate borders.
Very precise and intricate silver work, the work of an accomplished silversmith.
Unmarked but tests silver.

A pair of Roden sterling silver handle wood salad servers. These ornate 10-1/4" serving implements feature wooden spoon and fork inserts with sterling silver handles marked with the Roden mark along with REG'D 1901 STERLING. Birks took them over later but the 1901 registry mark indicates an Edwardian date for the manufacture of these servers. They are in very good condition with no cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than a small chip off one tine of the fork...
