This intriguing brooch is probably European. It is composed of 14kt gold leaves and stems, the stems supporting gray pearls that are suspended like lilies-of-the-valley. The leaves are incised to depict veins, with scored edges. The surface of the pearls exhibits some roughness; also, the clasp and pin stem look to have been replaced, probably around 1920 or so, and neither tests as gold...

A scarce sterling silver filigree posey holder pin circa 1900 1910. This antique 2-1/4" long and 1" across (unmarked but tested) fantastic posy or corsage brooch is an example of ornate and very fine silver work.
