Pair of Japanese Meiji period Arita sometsuke porcelain flower vases (hana-ike) with constricted necks and wide mouths, each decorated in underglaze blue on a white ground with a pair of long-tailed birds perched on rockery beneath flowering leafy trees. Butterflies are in flight on the back of the continuous landscape scene. The interior of the cupped mouth holds three sprays of three flowers each and the exterior is bordered with a ruyi head band...

An 18th-early 19th century Literati landscape featuring a scholars gathering in a forest of pines on one side, a pair of boats pulling up to a hermitage on the other. These are published in the book Jidai Byobu Shuei (pre-restoration, pages 76 and 77). They have been completely restored maintaining the original cloth border and are in superb condition. A rare and unusual Hopi sterling bracelet handwrought by deceased famous Hopi silversmith Ralph Tawangyaouma, hallmarked "H" and his thundercloud hallmark with emanating streaks of lightening. An early pioneering silversmith, working since 1910, his work is distinctive for his use of heavy gauge silver and stamping both exemplified by this bracelet. Tawangyaouma died in 1972. This cuff measures 5 1/2" around in the inside plus an additional 1 1/4" opening and is 1 1/2" wide...

Gustav Adolph "Dolph" Hensel was born in Germany and came to the U.S. in 1906. He was a Lutheran minister who settled in Wisconsin and later moved to San Francisco, where he was pastor of St. John's Reform Church until 1922. Hensel was also an artist who mainly painted portraits and religious genre. He spent three years as a missionary in Africa during the 1920s, and it may have been during this period that he painted this middle eastern scene...

A very sculptural and tactile sterling bracelet by Macefield. William Mason and Leonard Field were a collaborative effort of artist/jewelers from Winchester, MA. A monumental, over the top exquisite sterling and azurite cuff bracelet by Frank Patania Sr. The six saw tooth bezel set azurite stones are set on top of a row of silver scrolls alternating with large and small silver balls, the bracelet then finished in a frame of plain silver. A hermitage lost in the early blossoms of the plum forest, ink and light color inside a wide gold border and mulberry frame typical of the Taisho era. Gold powder has been liberally applied intimating a shimmering mist throughout, creating an ethereal quality. Signed in the upper left corner, it is 68 x 149 inches (172.5 x 378 cm) and in overall fine condition. Chinese Northern Wei Dynasty Pottery Horse with Female Rider

This attractive model of a horse and rider was made during the Northern Wei Dynasty (AD 386 - 534). It is made from a grey pottery that has been cold painted in a creamy-white pigment on top of which have been applied other coloured pigments. Note the detail of the female rider's facial features and hairstyle. 

Height 29.5 cm (11.5 inches). It is reasonable to assume that this model has been subject to professional restoration...

We are offering a Hector Aguilar cuff with a weight of 70 grams. The height in front is 1in. and it spans 1 3/8th's inch at the swirls on the ends. It is currently a 1 inch gap and a 2.5in. diameter. The patina is quite warm and naturally rich. This bracelet can be made larger or smaller by a professional silver smith. No flaws and a pleasure to wear. Properly hallmarked as shown with Made in Mexico and sterling in the outside circle with the HA in it's center.

The center of the slightly domed cover carved with floral, the details finely incised, covered inside and out with a greenish-olive glaze that continues onto the countersunk base. Beautiful Taxco 980 floral necklace made by a skilled maestro. The beading is perfect with even more detail in the tiny rope around the bezel. The repousse is without flaws and the amethyst stone is without damage. The length is a 17in. wearable length. With a 2.5 x 2.5in. flower drop the whole necklace comes alive with a strong presence. This flower necklace looks impressive worn with the leaf Los Castillo clamper just listed on my site. A wear with anything design, just LOOK AT THAT NECKLACE!
