A Satsuma lobed plate with hand painted chrysanthemums bamboo and a pair of birds circa 1900. This antique small dish measures 5" across and has typical fine gold decoration over the work and a notched or lobed gold trimmed edge. It has a signature on the back, and it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, scrapes, losses, damage or repairs; it has some fine overall crazing, which is not unusual with Satsuma pottery. Items are secondhand and may have slight signs of gentle use...

A pre Civil War era U. S. Navy hard rubber molded button, patented 1851, manufactured by Novelty Rubber Co. Goodyear Patent, with three 5-point star and a fouled anchor.

From Ibaden, Nigeria this traditional Yoruba cloth was woven by the men of the village. It was worn tied around the waist of the woman, and used as a baby carrier. This piece was brought back from Africa in 1961. Hand loomed of cotton fibers, it has a wonderful soft color and texture. It measures 10" wide and 68" long including fringe.

The inhalation of medicinal vapors was common practice during the late 19th and early 20th century. Inhaling devices came in many shapes and forms. This very decorative and functional inhaler was very popular during that period. I have seen an earlier and rare, boxed VapoCresolene example from the 1870's, and it was not as decorative as this lovely late-Victorian-styled inhaler...

This floral brooch is dramatic and enormous! Note the interesting texture of the flower petals. It is very three dimensional. 4 1/2" in diameter and 1 1/4" deep.

This pair of Japanese handmade long square cut nails are 5" long and appear to have never been used. The nail heads are solid and shaped into a hemisphere. The silver colored decorative metal escutcheons have scalloped edges and markings to represent a flower. The escutcheons are just under 1" in diameter and have a squared center hole which exactly fits the nail shank.

An Art Deco floral molded glass and enamel chrome clamper cuff bracelet from 1934. This beauty features a moulded white milk glass floral insert surrounded by pale pink enamel daisy flowers on a wide chrome plated spring-mounted clamper bracelet. It measures 1-3/8 x 1-5/16" across the central panel and it measures 2-1/4 x 1-5/8" across the interior. Although signed only with a patent number (PAT. 1971094, corresponding to 1934) it is finely done with excellent detail and workmanship...

Chinese Warring States Bronze Axe Head

This bronze axe head dates approximately to the Warring States period (475 - 221 BC). Inside are remains of its wooden shaft. Length 16 cm (6.25 inches). Unfortunately it has been broken in two and re-stuck.

Chinese glove puppet depicting a man with bright opera face paint and long beard that appears to be horse hair dressed in a heavily sequined pale yellow robe with red fur accents. The legs are covered in red and white checkered trousers. Painted wood face, shoes, and hands. Measures about 18" long. Possibly dates from the early 20th century. Very good overall condition with minor wear and soiling from use...

A Victoria Austria R.S. Prussia ornate lustre teapot. This antique Edwardian bone china porcelain teapot with a floral and lustre finish c1910 stands 6-3/4" high to the top of the fancy finial and it measures 7-5/8" from the spout to the edge of the handle. A heavy sterling silver watch chain graduated bracelet circa 1880-1900. This late Victorian 8-1/4" bracelet is made of a piece of graduated watch chain (the links range from 5/16 to 7/16") with a non-rotating sterling swivel. Each link has an English lion silver mark and the swivel has an S.G maker's mark with a lion and k year stamp (probably 1884, possibly by Samuel Garside, a Birmingham silver chain maker). A Loetz Crete Papillon 7" Czech art glass green vase 1890 1900. This period vase has the famous Papillon finish in green (Crete) and this line was introduced in 1898. It has a tapered 3-1/8" across girdle and 2-5/8" base. It is in very good condition with no cracks, wear or repairs however there is a 1/4" rim chip mostly affecting the inside of the rim with minimal impact to the outside - this vase can be ground down to eliminate the chip if you are so inclined.
