A very stylish 1960-s period 14Kt white gold sapphire and diamond ring centered by a 9.2 X 6.7 millimeter 1.76Ct oval natural sapphire with excellent quality and great color. The center sapphire is flanked on either side by a brilliant cut diamond, which gives the ring an elegant tailored appearance. The approximate total weight of the two high quality diamonds is 0.45Ct.

Vintage Georg Jensen Denmark sterling "Amoeba" earrings no. 125 designed by Henning Koppel. These are bold and dramatic screw back earrings measuring 2" long, 1 1/4" wide, and weighing 23 grams total. They are in fine original condition and signed as shown. These earrings are quite rare and a perfect match for the Jensen "Amoeba" bracelet if you are lucky enough to own one.

A beautiful sterling mid-century modern link bracelet by Danish designer Carl Gustav Hansen, the son of Hans Hansen. The clasp is an ingenious screw bolt. The bracelet is very fluid as all of the links move. Elegant and sophisticated, this piece measures 7 3/4" end to end and is 3/8" wide. It weighs 28 grams. Great original condition. Literally huge and definitely earth-shattering pair of Alfredo Villasana earrings, this pair is not for the faint of heart. Strong movement in the "fleshy" repousse along with deep recesses and beautiful patina showcase Villasana's mastery over the art of repoussage. Each earring is 2 1/8" tall by 1" wide and the set weighs 16.1 grams. Based on Margot de Taxco's and the Los Castillo's "Koi Fish" parures, a repousse by-pass ring from the 1950s-60s made by one of Taxco's still unidentified maestros. I admire these miniature masterpieces - they mimic the clamper bracelets of their respective designs yet with the small size, pose a real challenge to the silversmith who has to reproduce amazing detail in such small proportions. The ring here is currently a comfortable size 7.75 but can be adjusted upwards...

A pair of leaves made out of sterling silver and inlaid with azur-malachite this set of Salvador Teran earrings remains true to the absolute minimalism that characterizes his jewelry. It never ceases to amaze me how, with just a few pencil strokes, talented designers can impart the freshness of a green leaf, the way it curls to collect the rain, the texture of its serrated edge...

Classic 1960's large 14Kt yellow gold cultured pearl and diamond heart shaped charm / pendant / locket, decorated by 32 cultured pearls and a small diamond. The locket measures 1 7/16" in width and 1 19/16" in height.

A superb necklace by Carmen Beckmann. Rare to find, it has 6 oval bezel set unfaceted amethysts as the focus of each of the six panels. Measuring 16 1/2" end to end and 1' wide, it weighs 95 grams and is in fine original condition. There are no chips or cracks in the stones. Lines that you see are natural inclusions all under the surface of the stone. Circa 1960-70, this is a beautiful necklace.

A Mexican modernist sterling silver blue crystal pin or brooch from the 1960s-70s. This pin has a safety clasp and it is stamped MEXICO TAXCO 925 MAR. It has a central blue claw-set crystal and it measures 2-1/4 x 1-1/8". It weighs 11.5 grams and it is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than some shallow bending from the silver stamps and some bending to the retaining pin...

This wonderfully crafted piece of jewelry is in great condition and made of 18Kt gold, and set with three full-cut diamonds (approx. total weight of 0.40Ct) four round rubies, three round emeralds and three round sapphires. The brooch is 3.5" long and 1" wide at the widest.

The 26 old-mine diamonds are bead-set in a 14Kt white gold 3 millimeter wide eternity band. The size of the band is 7 ¼ and the approximate total weight of all the diamonds is 0.85Ct.

Shown in the Gobi Stromberg book "Silver Seduction : The Art of Mexican Modernist Antonio Pineda", this book-piece design is a superb bracelet from Antonio Pineda. It's an extremely difficult design to produce, and it is most definitely a statement piece.

Last year I was lucky to find three examples of jewelry by Celia Harms, a talented designer who lived and worked in Vera Cruz in the 1950s and '60s. The Etruscan style sterling vermeil cross pin / pendant necklace I am presenting is the last of that trove and a very classy duo as well. I am very particular with vermeil - I don't really like it unless it is old and has mellowed almost to the point of ... extinction yet here it has an understated matte finish that exudes a calm warmth...
