Classy Mexican Deco silver and amethyst brooch signed by Fred Davis, there is something about the sculpturality of this piece that makes me think it might be a Valentin Vidaurreta design. It is not just the specific shape the amethyst flowers have been carved in that can be seen in signed Vidaurreta jewelry, it is mostly the bewitching rotundness of the silver bud that makes me think so...

Set in what looks like brass, the six female figures that adorn the bracelet links are, I believe, along with the figures on the earrings depictions of He Xiangu, the only female among the Eight Immortals...

The links in this Deco Mexican silver necklace by Victoria , to the world Ana Maria Nunez de Brilanti, are inspired by cactus flowers and hand-wrought in sterling silver sheet with good thickness. One of my favorite designs by her, it was available in at least two different widths and the example at hand is the narrower, easier to wear version no matter what the occasion or the ... weather is. Deeply chased and oxidized lines form the stylized petals and each flower is centered by five tiny litt...

Signed with the old linear mark for design # 365 Los Castillo. This large 3.5in. x 3.5in, thick, silver dragon is iconic for it's detail and quality workmanship to Los Castillo collectors. The heavy open backed repousse shows a very early work. The 4th row of the hallmark says MADE IN MEXICO as you can see in the hands clearly. The patina is a natural, very dark color adding beauty to the carving on the top side of this brooch. We do not see this design often so make this a treasure you put in y...
