Offered is a wonderful, circa 1920s, hanging, Apothecary Show Globe fashioned in the Art Deco style, complete and all-original. Very often hung in the front window of the local drug store to attract customers, these show globes were frequently filled with colored water to add extra depth and interest to their sculpted appearance.

Condition of this fabulous piece is quite fine. The interior of the globe and finial note some faint, scattered, age-related haziness...

This miniature oil painting on bone depicts a polo game set in a courtyard surrounded by buildings. The polo players are mounted on horses and wearing turbans. The surrounding mat has an ornate hand painted border and the frame is inlaid with strips of bone. The polo painting is 7 inches x 2 inches. With the frame included the piece measures The entire piece is 9+ inches x 4+ inches.

These 6 barefoot maidens are elaborately costumed in traditional ethnographic clothing lots of bangles with bangles, and each is playing a different instrument. They stand approximately 8-9 inches tall. a few are missing a bangle and a few have very small dents in the metal work...metal is assumed to be very low grade silver tin combination. Decorative dolls such as these were made as a traditional folk art in India for a couple of centuries...

An unusual pair of 14Kt pink gold and agate intaglio cuff links with Masonic symbols. The cuff links date back circa 1920’s. The backs are curved and each back ends with an oval button. The measurement of the intaglio is approximately 14 X 23 millimeters, and the outside of the cuff links measure 17.5 X 28 millimeters.

A Tamasudare-ami Hanakago Basket by Yamamoto Chikuryusai I of round bamboo strands enclosed in the original signed wooden box lacquered in translucent red.
