A fine Edo period portrait of a sinewy middle aged samurai proudly seated before a pair of swords, a table upon which rests an ink stone and book at his right elbow. Exquisite detail in the figures face and fine lines and shadows in the clothing are reminiscent of portraits by the great artist Watanabe Kazan. The portrait is signed Higashiyama Giryo and dated Tenpo 3 (1832) and the epitaph is signed Raijo. The portrait appears to be of a samurai named Kanda Hojo...

A 10k sapphires and diamonds row ring from the 1980s. This size 6-3/4 or size 6.75 ring in yellow gold features three oval cut genuine medium blue sapphires with two small diamonds in between the ruby stones. It measures 11/16" along the stone setting and 1/8" across and it is stamped 10K with a maker's mark. It weighs 1.6 grams, and it is in excellent antique condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs...

We are offering an older Matl bracelet made when Matilde Poulat was still working in her shop. The links are a bit over 1.75in. tall and is 7.5in. long. It is easily sized by taking out a link if needed. (You keep the link removed) The turquoise tiny cabochons are dotted down the center and petit point also with the coral stones framing the outside swirls. The hallmark is a double strike(very common) and extremely legible. The weight is a hefty 84 grams...

Decorated woth a taotie mask at the end. Length: 18,5 cm. Condition: very good with a wonderful patina.

All the precious stones are represented in this elegant 14Kt yellow gold openwork flower ring. The 3 flowers are set with emeralds, sapphires and rubies. Each flower is centered by a full-cut diamond. The openwork design is bordered on either side by pave set diamonds. The approximate weight of all diamonds is 0.20Ct, while the sapphires, rubies and emeralds in each flower weigh approximately 0.35Ct. The size 7 ring that can be sized is 13mm wide on top and tapers down to 4mm.

A Chinese porcelain copper-red glazed bottle vase. The inside as well as the base glazed white. The copper red glaze thinning to just below the top rim where it was covered in gilt. The controlled glaze stops just short of the base. The base with a six character underglaze-blue Qianlong seal mark (1736-95).

Tane Orfebres is known as the Tiffanys of Mexico and has produced well crafted and beautifully designed objects since the early 50's. This is a published book piece by Penny C. Morrill in WILLIAM SPRATLING AND THE MEXICAN SILVER RENAISSANCE on page 32. It also states that the form of the design is taken from Tarascan copper tweezers. (the necklace is however solid silver) The piece has a bold presence and is a monumental 197 grams heavy. The diameter of the necklace is 5in...

Spectacular design and execution in this sterling and coral belt buckle by Santo Domingo silversmith Julian Lovato. He began working in 1938 and was a silversmith for Frank Patania Sr. in the Thunderbird Shop. He has been the winner of numerous awards for his fine creations. This belt buckle measures 3" by 2" and weighs 64 grams. It is in fine original condition and suitable to be worn by a man or woman. Signed as shown. Gorgeous in every way.
