Of very large size (25") and heavy (13 pounds each), these bronze pricket candlesticks are Japanese in origin, late Meiji, and are signed with an etched mark on the bottom of each. They both have a very deep and rich patina, very dark brown, with no abrasions or dents. The top lotus form cups are separate, and slip tightly into the stem of the sticks...
A finely blue & white dish, decorated in the center with "vajra" design and underside with floral spray. Ming dynasty 16th century Zhengde period. Condition and glaze very good, only re-touched tiny chip to rim, otherwise is excellent. Diameter: 20.5 cm.
A pear-shaped "Famille rose" porcelain teapot and cover with molded decoration of two rows of petals and applied lotus flowers and leaves, in between painted with cockerels, deers, fishes and egrets. Dating to the Yongzheng or early Qianlong period. Condition: good, some chips to the applied decoration (please look at the last four photos) spout with a tiny chip. Kind of the quintessential French Club Chair , this pair is in very good overall condition. One of the cushions has been restored and the color match is quite good. They sit perfect, the bottoms have been retied 8 way as original with a new jute deck and dust cover. This is the pair and the style that charms everyone! Of unusual form, possibly one of a kind, this necklace is comprised of silver and green stone beads (the round beads appear to be aventurine, the others are a mottled dark green/blue color) with a loop clasp. The large silver pendant is Pre-Columbian in design, depicting a jaguar figure with double snake headed tails.
The four feet of the figure form loops, and there is also a large loop which attaches the pendant to the necklace...
A radical image by the outlandish Doi Goga featuring a black devil and its child. The child reaches up to the monster, while the monster seems to be giving him a raspberry, his toungue flailing in the air. Ink on paper, it has been completely restored in beige cloth border with bone rollers reflecting the original mounting. The scroll is 42 x 181 cm (16-1/2 x 71-1/4 inches) ad is in excellent condition.

Hand crafted sterling silver cascabell pin designed and signed (c.1940's)by Taxco, Mexico artist Valentin Vidaurreta (1902-1955). Measures 3 1/2" X 2". Comprised of 19 cascabells on five sterling stems and tied with a sterling silver bow. Valentin was the primary designer for Hector Aguilar and the Taller Borda and was considered one of the best Taxco silver designers of the period. His art leaned toward fauna and foilage and this can be seen in his sterling silver designs...
