Wonderful Chanel brooch from the 1930's. It is in excellent condition. There are five enamel flowers with leaves (the white one faces sideways), and the center and the perimeter of the bow are studded with clear, sparkling, tiny rhinestones. The metal back is silver color. Chanel in script is on the center back. 3 1/4" wide, 1 3/4" high. Quite chunky.

Art Deco in design this 1930's sterling silver and obsidian pin was designed and signed by Mexico designer Frederick Davis (1880-1961). Pin measures 2 3/4" X 1 3/4". Beautiful condition. Pin exhibited in WILLIAM SPRATLING AND THE MEXICAN SILVER RENAISSANCE and pictured on p. 206 of the book by Penny Morrill.
Japanese shin hanga woodblock print titled "Hirosaki Castle" by Hiroshi Yoshida (1876-1950) dated Showa 10 (1935). First edition impression with "jizure" (self-printed) seal in the upper left margin. The artist's black ink brush signature and red seal is at the lower left and the print is pencil-signed in the lower right margin. Illustrated in "The Complete Woodblock Prints of Yoshida Hiroshi," Abe Publications, color plate #192. Paper measures 15 3/4" x 10 1/2" (image size: 14 5/8" x 9 5/8")...

Signed with an old hallmark of Matilde Poulat's Matl the repousse is in full regalia. Very well done with fine carving leaving a true feeling of the feathered bird. This is the larger sized version being 4 1/8thin. tall and 2.25in. wide. The weight is 36.5 grams heavy. This is a must have for the Matl collector and this one is an excellent example with the larger, full tail of 3 rings. No damage or flaws, just superb.
Chinese Qing dynasty ink and color on silk painting in the imperial court style depicting two birds on branches set against flowers by Ma Jiatong (1865-1937). The inscription reads “following the spirit of the brush of Prime Minister Jiang Nansha” (referring to the early Qing painter Jiang Tingxi), by Xiangdong Jushi Jiatong.” Two seals of the artist are below. The second reads "Ma Jingfan.” 19th century, Tongzhi to Guangxu period...

Another Margot van Voorhies Carr masterpiece properly hallmarked Margot de Taxco and without eagle sixteen as her very earliest work had no eagle and sometimes eagle 1. This is a very early design #5161. This example is one of the finest I have found. It is extra large weighing 90 grams heavy and is taller than most at 1.5in. tall. No damage or flaws just some flecks of patina which is warm and fabulous. Collector and museum quality.
Chinese Qing dynasty rectangular jade openwork plaque, carved with a design of a deer under a pine tree, mounted into the lid of an early 20th century rectangular silver box raised on four feet. Two-character “chun yin” (pure silver) mark to the bottom of the box. The jade has a pale celadon-gray hue. The box measures 3 1/2" long x 3” wide x 1 5/8” high. The jade plaque is 2 7/8” x 2 1/4." The total weight: 8.645 oz. Very good overall condition...
