A smashing sterling wrap bracelet with a gold wash and wire wrapped green quartz by Modernist Arthur King. King had a shop on Madison Avenue in New York City in the 1960's. His pieces are scarce and his collectors are fierce at auctions. This remarkable piece is a tiny sculpture measuring 2" wide top to bottom at the stone and 1" wide in the back. It is 7 1/2" around in the inside and weighs 81 grams. Fine original condition and signed as shown. Brilliant!

Maybe a modernist silversmith hand made this 25" sterling silver chain, stamped the J hook: EL or EI then added a 2 1/2 bakelite pendant made of a 12mm rust color bead and a 1 1/4 dark hunter green almost black carved 'pineapple' with mixed metals silver & brass accents. Solid Ultra Modern Ring Signed: "S'Paliu" and "Spain 925 S" built up high with 2 inserted squarish chrysoprase stones. Resembles the "Moltke Denmark" ring on page 238 of Christie Romero's 3rd edition "Warman's Jewelry", but this one is of course by a Spain Modernist. Very Architectural! Unique circa 1950s sterling silver necklace by important mid-century silversmith Rebajes. The hand wrought pendant is constructed of silver, a green stone that appears to be agate or jade, and a glowing genuine (cultured?) pearl. The large pendant measures approx. 2.5" in length (including the bale) and 2" in width. It has a small silver plaque on the rear bearing the old "Rebajes, Sterling" mark with a sideways "S"...

A rare, stunning bracelet by Modernist Joachim S'Paliu of Cordorba, Spain. Born in 1944, he produced a significant line of jewelry during the 1960's and 70's. The bracelet measures 6" around in the inside with a 7/8" opening. It is 2 5/8" wide at the enormous amethyst stone and surrounding silver cast frame front. The stones are just beautiful. Hallmarked "Pat. Spain 925 S'Paliu" on the inside band. Bold and massive at 143 grams, fine original condition...

A superb and rare hand hammered sterling pin with a center carnelian by New York studio artist Sam Kramer. Three dimensional and sculptural, the center piece looks very much like a propeller. One almost expects it to twirl. This pin measures 2" diameter and is in fine condition with the exception of a slight bit of solder at the base of the pin stem. I have included a photo of the area. Unless called to ones attention, it is not noticeable and in no way detracts from the pin...

American studio jeweler Betty Cooke opened her first retail space in 1946 in Baltimore.Her style is considered spontaneous and according to the book MESSENGERS OF MODERNISM " she likes to think of her jewelry as metal action pieces which are based on the curve." This great bracelet certainly fits that description with the lines bending and curving in several directions as it embraces a large central oval black onyx. An amazing sterling silver modernist pendant, Hopeakuu or Silver Moon, designed by Tapio Wirkkala and produced by Nilo Westerback Oy. Marked NW, Crown for Finland, 925, U7 for 1973. Measures 4 3/4" across. 13 concentric circles joined by a stem with a cast ball in the center. Chain measures about 27" long and is also marked NW, Crown and 925. There are 10 square and rectangular shaped panels of amazing colors and shapes of enamel. A great sterling bracelet by studio artist Frank Rebajes. We see many of his pieces in copper but few in sterling and this bracelet is terrific. There are 7 diamond shaped pieces that are on hinges and move sitting in a backround of oxidation. The last partial shaped diamond is the clasp. Measures 7" long and 7/8" wide, it is in excellent original condition. Weighs 47 grams and is signed REBAJES sterling. A great mid-century modern bracelet by this important designer.

Rare pair of sterling silver kinetic earrings by important New York Modernist Sam Kramer, circa 1950s. The earrings are constructed with a biomorphic shape with a raised bar from which another shape dangles freely. Each earring measures 1.25" long. A wonderful mid-century modern sterling pin with pearl and matching earrings by American studio artist Betty Cooke. The pin measures 2" by 1 1/2" and the matching screwback earrings measure 1" by 1".
