Splendid modern sterling and 14 k gold necklace and earrings. The basic form is the Maltese cross, each earring and the pendant are just under an inch in size. Each is centered with a bezel-set cabochon garnet of rich red color, surrounded by a patterned silver ring. At each point is a 14k gold bead mounted in a silver trefoil. Original purchase was in the mid 1990s.

He was taught the art of making jewelry and the famous Hopi overlay technique by his wife's father, the renowned Hopi jeweler Bernard Dawahoya. Sleek and modern sterling earrings with 24K applied elements, and center 24K bezel set lapis. These have 14k posts and backings for pierced ears and measure 1 1/4" diameter and weigh 11 grams total. Fine original condition with great lapis, they are artist signed and dated '91 in electric pen and also say 24k and 14k. The signature clearly says Peter but I am not able to make out the last name. Beautiful design and craftmanship and look lovely on the ear.
