A simply exceptional estate jewel featuring a rare and completely untreated/unheated Sapphire from Mogok in Burma weighing an impressive 7.28ct. This sweet, quintessentially Victorian, pin consists of a navette-shaped border of rose gold surrounding an oval of yellow gold, which highlights a flower and two leaves of rose gold. Longer than usual, it tests as 10k, and is signed “A.J.C”. Measuring 1-3/4” x 3/8”, it weighs 3.2g. In overall good condition, but it could use a little cleaning up. This pin came out of an important household in Newport, RI as a gift to the family of my consignor. Circa 1890...
This is an exquisite mourning cross brooch that dates back to the 19th-century Victorian era, circa 1860. It is an exceptional piece of jewelry handcrafted from the black jet, a type of fossilized wood that has been polished to a high shine...
This classic jewel consists of a circle of gold, enameled in cobalt blue, with gold highlights. A 3-looped bow is interlaced through it, decorated with tiny seed pearls, as are the bail and dropper. There are a couple very minor flaws in the enamel - invisible without magnification. It is stamped for 15kt gold, and the gold has that lovely rich color we rarely see these days. There is a place on the back where it looks as though someone made a repair, but of course it’s not visible when worn...

This pretty pin features an oval purple cabochon, possibly amethyst, possibly glass (it’s hard to get a reading on this stone), centered between two hammered silver leaves (very A&C in style), all in a very Art Nouveau framework. Marked “DEPOS” (probably meant to be “DEPOSE”, which translates roughly as “patented”), it is probably from Germany. There are two illegible marks, one on the C-clasp, and one on the back. It tests as silver, measures 1-3/4” x 3/4", and weighs 4.4 g...

A seamless marriage of sterling silver and golden sheen obsidian celebrate Enrique Ledesma's creative genius in this set of modernist Mexican earrings. Much published and avidly sought after, the design can be found with various semi-precious and hard stones or, as in our case, housing polished, glistening pieces of volcanic glass. And if you are not so keen on screw-back findings, you are in luck with these as they are actually clip-ons. Measuring
1 1/4" tall by 5/8" wide the earrings weigh ...
This lovely sky-blue enameled pendant tests as silver, probably sterling. It has two shades of light blue enamel on the front, highlighted by flourishes in silver. The dropper is also enameled in shaded hues of blue. The enamel continues on the back in sky blue – such wonderful attention to detail! Excluding the bale, it is 1-1/2” long by just under ¾” across. There are two tiny areas of enamel damage on the back, and a few areas that could use some cleaning, but basically it is in excell...
