An excellent late Victorian silver baton link watch chain, the batons decorated with niello in a checkboard pattern. The batons are joined by gilt silver curb links. Even the dog clip and bolt clasps are enhanced with striped niello. The chain is stamped “800.”

This elegant depiction of a Wiener Dog is c. late 1940’s. The sterling silver vermeil and marcasites compliment the beautiful ropetwist, open wirework of the body. The ear is set with marcasites, as is the eye. The back is marked “ALICE CAVINESS” and “STERLING GERMANY” on applied plaques. The pin measures 2” (from snout to tail) x 1/2". This wonderful piece is in excellent condition.

A 10k garnet solitaire ring from the 1950s. This size 3-3/4 ring features a lovely oval faceted rich red garnet in a stylish bracketed gold setting. It measures 7/16 x 3/8" across the claw-set stone, it weighs 2.4 grams and the stone calculates to a size of 2.1 carats. This ring is marked 10K with a facing Cs maker's mark and it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, damage or repairs...

Modernist cufflinks made up of eight little geometrically arranged cylinders. Made by Isaac Cohen, Stockholm and marked ICO, S:t Erik’s head (the hallmark for Stockholm), R9 = year mark for 1967, three crowns and S indicating the Swedish silver standard of the time = 830/1000. An abstract sterling silver brooch by Modernist NYC Silversmith, Henry Steig. May be a stylized leaf or feather. Measures 2" long and 1" at the widest. Signed on the back Steig Sterling. Rollover safety clasp holds securely. There is an area along the darkened edge that is textured, not sure if that is original or wear. Nice contrast of polished and darkened sterling. Interesting three dimensional feel.

A lightly hammered sterling silver bangle bracelet signed by the artist, Walter Tofel of Bennington, Vermont. Tofel was the manager at the Ed Levin store in Bennington in 1970 where he learned his craft. He began making his own jewelry designs which he sold at craft fairs and later out of his home.

This bracelet has lightly hammered curved sides and flatten areas. It is oval so can easily be slipped on and off.

A rare pair of Art Nouveau 14K yellow gold bean-back cufflinks, the oval faces with repousse decoration representing Poseidon (“Neptune”), god of the sea. The god is identifiable by the trident that forms his crown. The background at first appears to be a simple stippled pattern, but careful examination shows that the background is actually worked in a very fine pattern of fish scales...

This unique pendant measures 1 1/8" long x 3/4". It displays silver, textured, oxidized areas with blue enamel accents. This piece is in excellent condition and has good heft.

A 20" strand of 6 mm. cultured pearls with a 14k yellow gold clasp. This necklace has 73 pearls with medium creamy white lustre; a few have very minor surface irregularities and one pearl has some minor peeling to the nacre. This strand is in excellent original condition with no cracks, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are vintage or antique and may have slight signs of gentle use...

I don't use the term "rare" very often when presenting my jewelry yet in this case, I just had to! Because this specific version of one of my favorite designs, the multi-row repousse semi-spheres hinged bracelets usually adorned with turquoise cabs, is indeed very very difficult to come upon. What elevates the bracelet at hand above and beyond other similar examples is the sheer size of the repousse semi-spheres that make up its two "wings"...

A modernist pair of sterling silver earrings by noted mid century jeweler, Sam Kramer. Measure 1 1/2" long and 7/8" across. Have 2 dangles that move when worn. Marked sterling on the back of the screw backs which hold securely. Have some minor surface scratches and a little tarnish. These are not signed but are a documented Sam Kramer design. Great example of MCM jewelry.

Bright 14k opal heart pendant necklace and earrings(pierced) in original hard case box(marked 14k), c.1950's. Real opals, not doublets. The NECKLACE is an open gold heart(3/4" long) and holds an oval opal(approx.4 carats) on an 18" gold chain. The EARRINGS are for pierced ears and are signed "14K". A vintage modernist pendant by Jens Ib. Bluitgen, who was head of the design workshop of Georg Jensen from 1953-1961 before going out on his own. Made in Denmark. Three lightly hammered sterling curved shields with an oxidized dark patina suspended from a sterling heart shaped neck ring.

The pendant is marked 925S for Sterling, IB for the maker and Denmark. Measures 4" long and 1 1/8" at the widest. The pendant has some minor wear to the finish on the front and tarnish on the back...
