Dramatic handmade Sterling Silver necklace designed by Rey Urban, and made by A. Fausing Denmark c.1960. This extremely sculptural modernist sterling silver collier necklace was designed by swedish silversmith Rey Urban and handmade in Stockholm Sweden and produced for the danish Åge Fausing workshop in the 60s. Very rare. Fully hallmarked as shown. In excellent condition. The necklace measures 7.25" in height, with the interior opening measuring just over 5" tall and just over 4.5" wide.
Being offered is a superb circa 1968 set of .970 silver jewelry made by Antonio Pineda of Taxco, Mexico in Pineda’s acclaimed brutalist, trapezoidal, modernist geometric form with round aventurine cabachon stones. A nice Italian Etruscan style 18K gold lantern-shamed fob charm enhanced with coral cabochons. The midsection of the charm is left open to give it a feeling of lightness and to bring more life to the coral. The gold surfaces are enhanced with twisted wire and rosette decoration. The charm is stamped “750” for 18K.

A classic pair of diamond and pearl earrings from the 1960’s is set in 14Kt yellow gold with a European lever backs. These earrings can be worn dressy for occasions or sporty with jeans or basically all the time. The well matched high luster cultured pearls measure 8.5 millimeters and the approximate total weight of the two full cut diamonds is 0.10Ct.
An important, rare modernist brooch by the renowned African American jeweler, Art Smith. Has a copper ball caged in swirled brass coils. The ball moves for an interesting effect.
Measures 3 1/4" long and 2 3/8" at the widest. Marked with the 'Art Smith' script signature. Has a secure rollover clasp. In fine condition with areas of tarnish.
A wonderful example of Mid Century Modernist design.
The clean design of this silver pin features two adjoining concave oval disks with applied silver beads in the center, all mounted on a forged wire frame. The piece exhibits fine construction and is quite substantial. There is a secure C-clasp on the back. The side bears the maker’s mark of Hans Jensen & Co of Århus, Denmark (1957-1970), as well as the mark for .830 silver. The pin measures 2 inches long by ¾ inch wide. Weight: 6.6 grams

An outstanding 14K yellow gold and pearl ring in a sophisticated modernist the design. The split shank creates a flat crown enclosing a row of three pearls, graduating from 5.3 to 6.6 mm. The quality of the pearls are easily on a par with Mikimoto. The luster is superb, the color is cream with rosé overtones, and the surfaces are smooth. Overall, the quality is estimated at AA. A variation of Antonio's amethyst cluster necklaces that doesn't come up often, this modernist dream is wrought in Pineda's signature fine, .970 alloy and adorned with richly colored stones. The renowned Taxco designer plays with a-symmetry here as the necklace's focal point, the stylized amethyst floral cascade, reaches out from the back of the neck and unfolds itself on its right side instead of occupying the center front...
These earrings have a Modern American Studio look. They measure 5/8" x 1/2" x 1/4". The graduating, semi-circles exhibit the Studio style. They are c. 1960's and in excellent condition.
Stunning Taxco modernist sterling silver pendant necklace this set seems to borrow stylistically from both Antonio Pineda (in its use of the black velvet cord) and the Los Ballesteros workshops (in featuring that huge gemstone). The signature it bears, however, attributes it to a listed yet still unidentified Mexican maestro whose work I have had before but about whom we don't really know that much...
Silver tie clip with the Hopi figure of Kokopelli, a fertility deity. Made of two silver plaques; one cut through, the other engraved and oxidized. Engraved cipher mark of the native American Indian silversmith, and stamped mark Bennett Pat. Pend. C-31. Bennet was the inventor of this tie fitting mechanism. Height "1 ½ / 4 cm.
