This brooch/pin is made and signed by renown, French, Jewish sculptor Jacques Lipchitz. It is his interpretation of an Olive Tree. Artist-designed, this golden brooch is one of a small series of gifts given to purchasers of Israeli bonds in the 1960's-1970's. It measures 2" x 2". The back is signed (incised) Lipchitz in script. An exceptionally fine, heavy pair of 18K yellow gold cufflinks, the faces hand-pierced with an ornate depiction of a mythological griffin.
