A vintage sterling silver and enamel brooch by Margot de Taxco, (Margot Van Voorhies Carr). Blue confetti enamel in her classic swirl design #5384.

The brooch measures 1 1/2" high and almost 1 1/2" at the widest. Marked Made in Mexico Sterling, Margot de Taxco and 5384. Also marked with Eagle #16.

The clasp holds securely. In very fine condition with only minor tarnish. The enameling is vibrant.

This geometric openwork pin depicting snakelike creatures is distinguished by its design, which draws from ancient Mexican imagery. The pin is sturdily made and has a secure C-clasp. It is unsigned but stamped on the back Taxco 980, which indicates a higher-than-sterling silver content. It likely dates from the 1940s-50s. The metal exhibits a very strong test for sterling silver and exhibits a nice patina from age. The pin measures a little over 2 ¼ inches long by 1 5/8 inches wide...

Chic big statement vintage 1960s or 1970s necklace with marbled translucent Lucite chain with drops and beads in different colors of Lucite simulating amber, and filigree beads, chains, and mesh in dark goldtone metal, with oversized spring ring clasp. Painted detail on the center drop. Probably French based on the materials and design. The drops along the sides are arranged in an asymmetrical but balanced design. This sterling silver necklace has a classic, timeless look that makes it a wardrobe staple. It is composed of alternating round beads and larger irregular-shaped ones with a pocked surface similar to a hammered look. It has an unidentified maker’s mark, but is probably American-made. This sterling stork has a curly tail, leaves for feet and angel like wings. The body is a very large kite shaped reversed carved blue rhinestone. All of this in a sterling setting. Notice that this stork has a blue rhinestone for his beak. It is hallmarked "sterling" on the back. Excellent condition. It measures 3 1/2" x 2 2/3" .

A great pair of Art Nouveau sterling silver bean-back cufflinks in the form of dogwood flowers. The faces are very nicely detailed. The backs of the faces and the connectors are marked “Sterling”.

A 19thC Scottish banded onyx sterling silver pin brooch 1850-80. This 2-7/8 x 7/8" lozenge-shaped pin has the original c-clasp; the silver border is unmarked but tests as silver (the pin itself is silver plated). This item is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, damage or repairs other than a small loss to the hand-mounted bezel and a tiny flake on the edge of the onyx (see images)...

An ornate piece of cast work featuring flowers, scrolls, garlands and scallop shells. The pin is set with a central faceted rectangular citrine, tiny pieces of orange glass and seed pearls. The C-clasp is secure; the pin stem is struck with a special Hungarian mark used from 1937-1999 indicating a piece that may have left the country temporarily, as for an exhibition. The brooch measures 1 ½ inches long by 1 1/8 inches wide.

A very lovely Art Nouveau lavalier of 14k gold. The green stone is actually a garnet-glass doublet, and the graceful golden swirls are set with seed pearls. /the lavalier is 1 1/4" by 1" and it comes with a 16 1/2" chain (gold filled).

A striking pair of David-Andersen sterling silver double-sided cufflinks, the faces decorated with guilloche enamel in a translucent deep red shade. The underlying engine-turned engraving is in a sunburst pattern. The hinged connectors are marked with appropriate sterling silver hallmarks and the maker’s mark used from 1925.

This impressive Mexican silver link bracelet, probably made for the tourist trade, has a distinctive and quite unusual design. It is composed of gilded silver and green glass cabochons to imitate jade. The four linked panels are large openwork rosettes, applied to embossed floral frames. The links are well soldered; one is slightly separated but still secure. The glass cabochons show no wear...

 

This 1930's vintage Mexican Silver Cuff Bracelet by the early Mexican department store Sanborn's features a hand chased and silver repousse floral design. It measures 5 1/4" long with an opening of 1 1/4" by 1 1/3" wide and weighs 33.1 grams. Hallmarked with the Owl figure, Sanborns, Mexico Sterling - the Owl mark was used starting in 1931. The bracelet is in good condition with only light age related wear and tarnish. A lovely bracelet with great style.

The wheels turn on this covered wagon and oxen pin from the 1930s. Oxidized base metal set with pastel rhinestones in shades of pink, purple, aqua, yellow, and green. It is unsigned. It is 2 1/4" long by 1 1/4" tall.

Unusual and elegant vintage thin sterling cuff with bone shaped segments by the Mexican silver workshop Los Ballesteros. This bracelet measures 5 1/2" around in the inside plus an additional 1 1/4" opening. It is about 1/8" wide and weighs 26 grams. It is in fine original condition and signed as shown. Looks great alone or can easily blend and be stacked with other Mexican, Native American, Scandinavian or Modernist pieces.

An unusual silver bracelet and pendant featuring Pre Columbian figures embellished with green stones. Probably from Peru or Ecuador. May be purchased as a set or individually.
