Strong, unique & one of his most desirable creations this 970 sterling silver cuff was designed & signed in the 1950's by Taxco, Mexico artist Antonio Pineda (1919-2009). This cuff will comfortably fit up to a 6 1/2" wrist. The back opening is 1 1/8". The largest of the 7 disks measures 1 1/2" across. Weight 80 grams. Beautiful condition & patina. Corpus Artisans Doris Silver was a store where extremely talented maestros worked in the back of her taller. If she liked the pieces that were made she would buy them. The workers rather came and went in between jobs and such. Chato Castillo being one. I have seen numerous names along with the Doris Marks as well as just the Doris marks alone. This work in repousse and with a height of almost 5in. tall is the most dimensional work I think I have ever seen...
Large beautiful medallion sterling bracelet by the wonderful aesthetic movement designer, George Shiebler. Each of the 6 medallions are different and measure 7/8" in diameter and the bracelet is 7" long. It is signed "SHIEBLER (wings mark) STERLING #569" and is in excellent condition. This is an exceptional 14Kt white gold and diamond Art-Deco filigree bracelet, centered by an approximately 0.15 Ct tube set old-mine diamond, and further enhanced by two smaller old-mine diamonds. The approximate total weight of all three diamonds is 0.25Ct. The length of the bracelet is 7” and the width at the widest part is 9/16”. The narrowest part of the bracelet is ¼” wide.
Early famous hand made 14K and ebony modernist screwback earrings by Ed Wiener, NYC, 1955. They measure 1 1/4" long(not including screwback) by 3/4" wide and are unsigned. An amazing sterling silver bracelet with rectangular bezel set amethyst cabochons and hinged ball connectors by Antonio Pineda.
The bracelet measures 7 3/4" long and 1" wide. Has a secure box clasp and a safety chain. Marked with 970, Pineda Crown, Silver, Hecho en Mexico, Eagle 17 and style number ZZ 702. A previous owner has added one link to make it longer and that link is marked Mexico 925 and what looks like TA-05. That link is right next to the clasp and not that noticeable...
Gorgeous signed ring with a large faceted citrine(approx. 7 carats)surrounded by 18 diamonds (3-5 points each) set in a rose and yellow gold period retro design, Germany, c.1920's. Of good weight, the ring is size 7 1/2-3/4. The front of this good sized ring measures 13/16"long by 3/4" wide. excellent condition, except one of the 6-prongs holding the citrine is missing(see photo of back of ring). Very early (1930-40's) handmade sterling silver creamer and sugar set with tray designed and signed by Taxco, Mexico artist William Spratling (1900-67). The set weighs 560grms. Spratling described this stunning design as "a wide Aztec bracelet with framed buttons" according to Goddard's spratlingsilver.com. It was one of Spratling's most popular designs in the 1930's - 1940's and still is today. Weighing 185 grams, the bracelet measures 2" high at the front with 1 1/8" opening at the back. The interior measures 2 1/2" across the inside. The bracelet is in beautiful condition with an aged patina. The design is also referred to as River of Life bracelet.
Circa 1960, this Italian silver duck was probably made by Egenio and Enrico Ranzoni. His feathers display exquisite detail and his bill and feet are gilded. He measures approximately 8" long from bill to tail and 3.26" tall, from his webbed feet to the middle of his back. He is beautifully made and in excellent condition. The overall weight is just over .75 lb.
Bold and beautiful with a Modernist design, this stunning bracelet by Antonio Pineda is a fine example of his craftmanship and artistry. At the corner of each heavy thick silver link is a light blue faceted Spinel and another spinel tops the push in clasp. Measures 6 7/8" long, 3/4" wide and weighs 95.3 grams.
