This handcrafted pair of connected pins is probably American, and has the feel of a late arts and crafts piece. The pins are formed as stylized lily pads attached to each other by a double cable chain; a third leaf drops as a pendant. There is a sterling mark on the back of one leaf. The largest leaf measures 1 7/8 inches across; the smaller one, 1 3/8 inches; and the smallest, 1 inch.
The scrolling foliage climbs 3.25 in. tall on this hand made beauty. It is also large enough to fit up the arm in comfort. It measures 2.25 at the small end and 2.75in. diameter at the larger end. This silver is thick weighing 197 grams. The barrels and hinges are also thick and strong enough to handle the mammoth size of the piece over all this time. This is an unmarked Mexico City very old piece. I believe it to be from the late 20's...
