This mid-century necklace from Antonio Pineda is an absolutely spectacular showpiece. It's composed of obsidian and silver, both in 5 point diamond shapes, which form a "V" in the front center. There is a pearl offset on the left front. This is a very rare piece, and it looks amazing on the wearer. The obsidian centerpiece is slightly curved so that it contours perfectly on the neck...

Here is an elegant queen gracing the front of this antique locket. She wears a crown with a row of 7 tiny single-cut diamonds, and one slightly larger full-cut diamond at the top of the crown. Her hair cascades down to her shoulder, and gold disks hang from the crown. There is a little dent at about cheek bone height. The back has a monogram, possibly an S, and has several little dents, which are exaggerated in the photos...

This wonderful Georgian ring could have been worn by one of Jane Austen’s more upper-crust characters! It features a rose-cut diamond (pointed top instead of flat), set in 14kt gold with decorations in black enamel on the shank, which are still in excellent condition. Diamond is the birthstone for April. The ring is approximately a size 5. It isn’t possible to estimate the weight of set rose cut diamonds; it is in the I range for clarity – normal for its era...

Here is an intriguing pair of pins from the Art Nouveau era. They feature a woman’s face flanked by flowers and their hair is greenish! We have been unable to determine what the metal is, so assume it’s not precious. They measure 1-1/4” x 1/2”. The pin stem assemblies are old, but they may be replacements. Circa 1900. The photos are part of the description; please examine carefully. Thanks! Shipping, handling & insurance within the USA included.

We have a very rare Salvador Teran vintage Mexican silver necklace with matching earrings. Both pieces have a strong presence with the earrings being 25 grams and 2.25 inches tall. At the widest point they measure 1.25 inches. A technique called Niello makes a beautiful smokey black finish on the silver and was widely used in the making of Mexican Silver. The drop on the necklace is three dimensional and stands 2 inches tall and 1.75 inches at the widest point...

Here is a pretty and nicely detailed pin, probably depicting St. Catherine, patroness of young maidens and female scholars. There is a “Catherine wheel” in the background (but it could also be a spinning wheel or a ship's wheel – so you can make up your own mind!), and a flower in the foreground. Her clothing looks very Renaissance era to us. Marked “SILVER” on the C-clasp, with an illegible maker’s mark, the metal tests as sterling, and she’s a dainty 7/8” in diameter. 2.5g...

Matching the "comma" necklace that is also available in my store, this sterling silver and golden sheen obsidian bracelet is perfect for the medium to smaller wrist. Here is a Victorian brooch with cross, anchor, and heart, the symbols for faith, hope and charity, respectively. It has nice detail work in the metal. Unmarked, but it is made of a layer of gold on top of what looks like copper. The center of the heart is set with a seed pearl, possibly faux, and the cross is set with 11 tiny turquoise-colored cabs – they are too tiny for a definite ID. It measures 1-3/16 x 7/8". The gold shows wear here and there, and it has a nice patina...

I love these Mexican Deco "berries-on-a-branch" brooches! They are big and impressive and the berries come in different colors depending on the kind of agate used. I am always on the look-out for the best examples, the ones in which the silver branches are hefty and interestingly entwined and the berries made of good quality stone, rich in striations and color-variation...

The work of the late silver designer, Antonio Pineda is more consistently architectural in style than that of his Mexican contemporaries. This fabulous bracelet exemplifies that brilliant aspect of his work. The bracelet consists of seven silver balls, including one that is incorporated as part of the clasp. Around the balls are flat half circles that can pivot around the balls. The bracelet weighs a substantial 111 grams...

These post back earrings measure 5/8" across and 1 1/4" high. Marked Mary Gage once on the back of one earring and multiple times on the back of the other. Appears to be stamped over itself or stamped over sterling. Also marked Mary Gage in the fold.

Looks like one of the posts on the back has been replaced. They hold securely. Have some min...
