The stones create a pattern that goes ¾ of the way around and the band finished with a square shank. The approximate weight of the 4 sapphires is 0.25Ct, while the approximate total weight of the 15 diamonds is 0.30Ct. The band is a size 5 and can be sized within limits.

Here is an elegant stick pin featuring an amethyst (birthstone for February) measuring 7/16” x 5/16", in a rounded-off diamond-shaped setting made from a warm-hued 14kt gold (marked and tested). Here is a very elegant band, with a continuous wheat sheaf pattern (wheat signifies love and charity). It was made at the turn of the last century, according to jewelry historian Christie Romero (RIP). She also told us it was probably made using a process called “die rolling.” It is marked “22ct”, “PLATINUM” (the platinum is under the gold, as you can see in the photos), and the maker’s mark is “B’s”.
