1200.00 necklace | $140.00 earrings
This is a Los Castillo design made by Hilario Lopez who worked for several Tallers through his career(of which one was Margot de Taxco) and he was an accomplished Maestro. The construction is open backed repousse but it is framed in heavy silver making a respectable 80 grams heavy. There is lots of bead work executed on this design and it is in impeccable condition. If you could find an original Los Castillo of this rare design it would cost at least twice what this one costs...

A lux Antonio Pineda ring properly hallmarked as shown with 3 silver stair steps to a teal, blue green stone which I believe to be turquoise. The size is currently a 6.5 and can be sized by most jewelers. The face of the ring is one inch tall and 7/8th's inch wide. The thick silver weight is 16grams. This ring with a different stone is featured in an interview with Antonio Pineda in by Patrick Kapty 11/11/2000.

This is a lovely old choker necklace with a design composed of a number of shapes and sizes of clear rhinestones. It is 15" long and the front designs are 1" wide. The back is a shiny silver color, rhodium plated as most were when this was made back in the middle of the 20th Century. The earrings are clips and each one is 1 1/4" long by 3/4" wide. This is not a true set, but I found the pieces together in one box and they do complement each other when worn, so I left it the way I found it...
All Items : Estate Jewelry : Silver : Mexican : Pre 1980 item #1229334 (stock #111306)
This fine necklace is circa 1970. It is a Taxco Mexico necklace, composed of Sterling Silver and vibrant, turquoise mosaic inlay in an Aztec design. It measures 17 3/4/" long and consists of 17 links that measure 7/8" x 1/2". Each link is slightly convex. It is marked MEXICO 925 in a circle (with other letters I cannot make out). In the middle, it is marked (what looks like LVR--see pictures). Then, beneath, it is marked TU-08. It has a V-Spring and Box Clasp...
All Items : Estate Jewelry : Silver : Modernism : Pre 1980 item #1229302 (stock #J2514)
This well-constructed, hefty hinged bangle bracelet has a modernist design with ‘atomic age’ influences. It has an intriguing interlocking terminal that serves as a stabilizing clasp. The soft surface patina shows some wear, but the hinge mechanism is tight and in excellent working order. It bears no maker’s mark, just a 925 for silver content. The bracelet measures 1 ¾ inches at the widest part of the terminal; it has an internal circumference of 7 inches...
All Items : Estate Jewelry : Silver : Modernism : Pre 1980 item #1229300 (stock #J2520)
This interesting bracelet has a rough look to it, with irregular edges and iridescent, highly oxidized surface. The band is pierced as a belt, and is hammered into a strong but flexible construction. The hook clasp is secure and shows no signs of stress. The bangle shows very few signs of wear; it is unsigned and marked as sterling. It measures just under ½ inch wide; inner circumference is 7 inches. The bracelet opens about 1 inch to accommodate the wrist. Weight: 19.3 grams
All Items : Estate Jewelry : Silver : Modernism : Pre 1970 item #1229246 (stock #J2521)
This is a small pin, but its design reflects both charm and sophistication, with overlapping strands of sterling silver terminating in a smooth, fused surface. It is beautifully oxidized, which gives the piece depth, and nicely sets off the 6mm coral bead. The pin is marked ‘phyllis’ and sterling on the back, for modernist jeweler Phyllis Sklar. Sklar began selling her handcrafted jewelry in Greenwich Village during the 1950s, eventually moving to Provincetown, MA, where she died in 2010...
All Items : Estate Jewelry : Silver : Modernism : Pre 1970 item #1229243 (stock #J2511)
This studio piece features two engraved and oxidated textured designs on the main cuff, with an applied arching, overlapping band. Its distinctive, oblong shape is surprisingly comfortable and conforming to the shape of the wrist. It appears to have been hardly worn, and is nicely crafted. There is a machine-engraved maker’s signature, but it is very hard to read (possibly 'Carson'). It is also marked .925 for sterling. The cuff measures 1/4 inch wide; its internal circumference is 7 inches...
All Items : Estate Jewelry : Other Metals : Pre 1970 item #1229219 (stock #J2510)
A heavy, dramatic necklace composed of three rows of interlocking links soldered together. The outer rows are copper, and the middle row is brass; both metals have retained their luster. The brass clasp is very secure and is marked on the back Mexico with a partial Tlaquepaque’s, and the maker’s initials FCS underneath. The necklace measures 7/8 inch wide and about 18 inches long; it is slightly curved. Weight: 81.5 grams
All Items : Estate Jewelry : Silver : Pre 1970 item #1229205 (stock #J2509)
Composed of four rectangular textured panels that are curved to fit comfortably around the wrist. This bracelet features an oxidized surface that calls to mind the roughness of hand-crafted jewelry. The pins holding the panels together are slightly bent, but are secure and contribute to its handmade look. The fold-over clasp is secure, and there is a safety chain, probably added later. The panels are each marked 925 for sterling silver content and measure 7/8 inch wide...

This long necklace is composed of delicate, forged-wire sterling silver rings measuring 5/8 inch across. Attached to it is a removable, hammered sterling silver pendant in the shape of an Egyptian ankh symbol. The pendant bears the maker’s mark of Calf & Dragon, an Evanston, IL, jeweler recently out of business, according to information on the Internet. The chain necklace, which resembles the work of Boston’s John Lewis, is not marked...
All Items : Estate Jewelry : Silver : Latin American : Pre 1970 item #1229186 (stock #J2502)
Enameled with vivid colors, this perky Peruvian pin is most likely inspired by an ibis, with its curved beak. The enamel is in lovely condition, save for a very minor flaw in the blue enamel at the top of the head. The pin also features light blue, maroon, green, brown, black and yellow. The rollover clasp is in good working order; the back indicates Peru and 925 for sterling silver content. It measures 2 inches long by 1 ¼ inches high. Gross weight: 10.3 grams

Formed as a dollar sign, this money clip is of a high quality in terms of thickness and workmanship. It bears the mark of R. Blackinton & Co., of North Attleboro, MA. This particular mark was reportedly used 1900-1967, so the piece is dated conservatively. There is also a number, 2555 H, on the back. The clip has a warm patina, indicating some age, but very few signs of wear. There is a tiny imperfection at the bottom of the dollar sign, from either an impact of some kind or a manufacturing flaw...
