Quite impressive in size and richly decorated with stampwork this vintage sterling silver and turquoise brooch is signed by Navajo silversmith Willie Shaw. I was always attracted to the magical blues and greens of turquoise and I find the so-called "spiderweb" stones irresistible. This particular one, with its big area of all-black, makes the juxtaposition of the two colors even more dramatic. The brooch measures 3 1/2" long and its width varies between 1 1/4" and 5/8"...
A vintage sterling silver necklace, #27 designed by Georg Jensen in a delicate floral pattern. Signed with the GI mark in a dotted oval used from 1915-32. Also marked with Sterling Denmark, and 27 for the design number. The style number is double stamped.
Measures 16" long and 1/4" wide. Has a hidden clasp and a safety catch.

A vintage modernist 830 silver pendant by the noted silversmith from Norway, A. K. Pettersen whose work is signed with a stylized AKP.
Made of 830 silver, which was widely used as a silver standard in Scandinavian countries, this pendant measures 1 1/2" across and 3 3/4" long including the fringe. Has what appears to be the original 23" chain. The pendant has four dangles for lots of movement.

A vintage modernist sterling silver brooch by Anton Michelsen, from Denmark. This three dimensional brooch has a raised 'sun' in the center surrounded by 7 stars.
Measures 2 5/8" across and 2 5/8" high. Weighs 20 gr. The surfaces of the stars and the center of the sun have a light gold wash for an interesting effect.
Marked with the AM under a crown hallmark of the silversmith and Sterling Denmark.

A maestro from the middle period of Mexico's 20th c. Silver Renaissance, Carsi is among those Taxco silversmiths about whom we don't really know much. I have had pieces by him a few times over the years and I was pleasantly surprised to have found his signature on the ornate bangle bracelet presented here. This wire-work scrolled heart motif I am used to associating with Arte en Plata, even though I have seen it by other makers or even anonymous in the past...

The handcrafted thick gauge silver cuff set with a large round obsidian stone secured by four spiral prong settings, secured with box clasp.
