This is the most gorgeous repousse French theatre paste necklace and it is actually long enough that it could be worn as a belt by some. It has a variety of colorful paste stones claw set with ring links in a gold tone metal.
This belt came to me from a dealer in France and he told be is was a de-access from a French theatre from the late 1800s. It was probably used for Shakespeare as these types of jewels are what were worn by King Henry (but of genuine stones, not glass like these)...
Here is an intricate brooch made for the Chinese export trade probably during the 1940s or maybe a little earlier. It is comprised of a brass over silver metal, all hand worked with pink enamel on the flower pedals and a tigers eye for the bee's body.
It measures about 2 1/2" long and 1/2" at the widest point. It is in good vintage condition with just a touch of the blue enamel missing from the bee's eyes. It is signed but I do not understand the symbols.
Lovely and rare later Stuart crystal heart shaped pendant with gold foil under the crystal a braided or chained heart shape that was made in the foil, which is under the faceted crystal in a closed back silver setting. It measures almost an inch long and over 3/4" wide at the top. It has a bail on the back to wear as a pendant, probably originally used on a ribbon.
The condition of the pendant is good for being 300 years old with very minor wear consistent with age and use...

Beautiful, thick faceted cut crystal pastes with a point to the back, each stone is set into little silver plate claw clasp all the way around with the chain links on either side, typical of French made jewelry. Early, heavy, wrought in fine purity .980 silver the stupendous chain in this pendant necklace is obviously based on Hector Aguilar's "v" link design. Bearing simply a raised mark for Taxco and the metal content hallmark, it is without any doubt comparable to the renowned maestro's original both in heft as well as in level of craftsmanship and quality of materials used. Its deep and careful hand-chased details reflect the warmly ornamentation on the locket pendant I have paired it with...
This is a very rare bracelet from Los Castillo, executed in 980 silver. One of their earliest pieces before they added design numbers with their hallmark.
At the center is a huge gorgeous amethyst cabochon, bezel set and surrounded by tiny beading. Three strands of silver beads attach to each side, wrapping around the wrist to close with a tongue in box clasp topped with an amethyst cabochon.
This is an extremely flattering bracelet. It looks absolutely stunning on the wrist...
Hallmarks date this very rare Hubert Harmon pin 1942-1944. This is a huge piece, measuring 4 1/4" top to bottom and a width of 1 1/2".

The winged ears and turban have exquisite repoussé silver work, with amethyst cabochons for earrings, on the turban, and on the dangling necklace - which swings freely in front. The face is smooth to the touch, with internal inclusions but no chips or cracks.

Sometimes I find a superb vintage Mexican Silver necklace that is unsigned as this one is. I believe todays offering is an early 1930's date as signing the work was something that William Spratling really just started in his beginnings in Taxco. The hand chasing shows expert workmanship and each medallion is thick silver and with hand rolled edges. The weight is 79 grams and is 16.25 inches long. Each medallion is with the chain 1 inch tall. There is no repairs or damage of any kind and all casa...
Circa mid-century, these earrings are the work of Salvador Vaca Teran.
Teran worked for William Spratling before leaving to work with his cousins at Los Castillo - creating many of their earlier designs.
These earrings are a perfect example of his distinct abstract designs, biomorphic and modernist.
Measures 1 5/16" at the widest part.
Weight is 18 grams.
Signed and hallmarked "Salvador" in script, and "Sterling Mexico", along with the design # 144.
