This beautiful stickpin is made of 14 k white gold and is set with an unidentified colorless gemstone...not diamond or one of the common substitutes for diamond. Not glass or plastic--it's a real stone. Also a real mystery. Whatever it is, it's a perfect complement to the setting. Overall length is 2 3/8" and it dates from the early 1900s.

This modernist design by William Spratling dates to the 1950's. Weighing 90 grams the necklace is 20 inches long. The opposing "tongues" measure 2 1/2" across X 2". Screw back earrings 1 1/8" x 1".
