Pair of gorgeous vintage 1970s long link necklaces in the stylized Byzantine or barbaric style popularized by Robert Goossens for Chanel. Probably French. A clip and belt buckle comprise this set.The center long green part is Bakelite, and the silver color metal supports pave rhinestones in an interesting pattern. The new adjustable lined ribbon belt (note the velcro) is removable if desired. This set is probably from the 1920's. Each of the three pieces measures 2 5/8" long and 1 5/8" at widest.

This 7/8" x 3/4" pair is mounted in gilt brass, and they depict two different and facing male Greek mythological or classical figures. Here is a lovely necklace of openwork panels, each with a center marcasite, and three prong-set carved carnelians. All are suspended by a white metal chain decorated with embossed links.
