An outstanding pair of Edwardian 14K yellow gold double-sided cufflinks, the simple oval faces set alternately with round rubies and old European cut diamonds. The faces are joined by unusual arched connectors that give the cufflinks a nice, comfortable spread to fit the wrist. The rich look of these cuff links comes from the intricate engine-turned engraving and deeply embossed scrolled, vine-like borders. The backs exhibit securely soldered split bridge bars connected to domed anchor buttons known as bean backs. The bridge bars bear the mark for 14kt gold and what looks to be the maker’s mark of M.B. This pair of 14kt gold, oval, two-sided cuff links is a very fine example of early 20th-century American jewelry-making. They are mounted with discs of mother-of-pearl, and each side is set with a tiny seed pearl. The edges are intricately engraved with geometric designs; the cuff links show hardly any signs of wear. The secure connecting figure-eight bars bear the maker’s mark of Larter & Sons, of Newark, NJ. They measure 5/8 inch long by a little over 3/8 inch wide.

A very attractive pair of double-sided cufflinks fashioned as oval mother-of-pearl discs centered with small seed pearls and enclosed in an opaque white enamel border, all set in yellow gold. White cufflinks such as these would originally have been worn only with white tie, but today they are particularly elegant with shirts in darker colored fabrics. A very nice pair of Art Deco 14K gold and enamel cufflinks by Carrington. The enamel is worked in a particularly pleasant shade of French blue with opaque white accents. The gold surfaces underneath the translucent enamel had engine-turned engraving in a pattern that suggests moire silk. The edges of the faces are very slightly, gracefully bowed outward. This pair of early 20th-century cuff links exhibits a nice arts and crafts look, with sharp, detailed molding of a Greek key pattern around the edges. Patina is warm and the surface shows hardly any signs of wear. The back bridge bars are very secure and marked sterling; there is no maker’s mark, but they are probably American. These early 20th-century classic two-sided cuff links feature very fine and detailed engraving on the centers with edges of heavily embossed decoration. There is a 14K mark on the back of one of the buttons. The bridge links are very secure and nicely molded. Each button measures about 3/4 inch long by 1/2 inch wide. Weight: 5.1 grams.

A handsome and colorful pair of reverse-carved Essex crystal cufflinks set in 14K yellow gold. The faces feature color fly fishing lures in shades of red white and black against mother-of-pearl backgrounds. The front faces are attached by bar connectors to simple gold backs that are original to the cufflinks. The backs have never been monogrammed. The connectors are marked "14K."
