A classic design of engine-turned engraved vertical lines and molded edges on the larger, rectangular buttons, the smaller sides ovular with a textured surface. The cuff links are lightweight but well made, and appear to have been hardly worn. The connections and bridge bars are very secure; both bars are marked 835 for silver content with double-struck crabs, apparently to indicate Paris (silver mark used 1838-1962). The maker's mark also appears in a diamond-shaped reserve...

These great cuff links display a Modernist and American Studio design: textures, craters and "dimples." The face measures 7/8" x 3/4". They are circa 1950's - 1960's. They have hinged, bullet toggles and are in excellent condition.

A very handsome pair of De Grisogono double-sided cufflinks, the faces made from polished seashells mounted in 18K yellow gold in the style of Seaman Schepps and Trianon. The spiral shells have attractive cinnamon, cream and black markings. The gold mountings are marked "18K" and also have a serial number and a maker's mark.

An extraordinary pair of French Art Nouveau 18K yellow gold enameled cufflinks, the faces featuring flowers bearing a secret message. In Victorian symbology, the daisy represented "innocence" or "purity", whereas the red poppy meant "pleasure". Taken together, the choice of flowers in these cufflinks was certainly intended to convey an erotic sentiment. The faces are beautifully hand-pierced and highlighted with translucent enamels in delicate shades of green, rosy red and whitish-yellow...

A handsome pair of 14K yellow gold cufflinks, the faces fashioned as ornate batons. Each of batons has a lobed device at each end similar to the head on a 16/17th century Ottoman ceremonial mace used to connote that the bearer carried the full authority of the Sultan Khan. A very fine pair of double-sided knot cufflinks worked in platinum and set with diamonds and sapphires. The diamonds are graded as G color, VS1 clarity. The sapphires are of equal quality, with medium-dark vivid blue color and eye-clean clarity. All stones are well-cut with good proportions. The faces are attached with removable connectors. Each face is stamped with an unidentified European hallmark.

A classic pair of very high quality 14K yellow gold double-faced cufflinks by Carrington. Each pair has one face centered with a round cut sapphire and another face with a old European cut diamond, both surrounded by a lightly engraved border. The quality of the stones is very good. The diamonds are graded at H color, VVS2 clarity and the sapphire are vivid violet-blue with eye clean clarity. The back of each face is marked with Carrrington's hallmark.

These cuff links feature a delicate geometrical design in pink and blue, hand painted under the glaze on a white ceramic ground. The buttons are framed by sterling embossed rims and are joined by removable sterling figure-eight bridge bars. The glazing leaves tiny gaps in some areas around the edge. They bear the mark of Coddington Bros. and Heilborn, of Attleboro, Mass., and measure ½ inch long by ¼ inch wide. Gross weight: 4.1 grams total

A very nice pair of Victorian double-faced 14K yellow gold cufflinks, the oval faces set with trios of diamonds, rubies and sapphires. The diamonds are old mine cut, while the sapphires and rubies are cabochons. The colored stones are of very good color and show now indications of heat treatment. The gold surfaces are worked with the slightly matte Russian finish popular for higher quality jewelry of the period...

These hexagonal 14Kt tri-color gold cufflinks were made circa 1930. One side of each cufflink is centered by an old-mine diamond, bezel set in pink gold. The hexagon around the center diamond is made of yellow gold, and the outer edge is finely engraved with a branch design made of white gold. The approximate total weight of the two diamonds is 0.12 Ct.

A handsome pair of French Art Deco cufflinks, the faces worked in platinum centering sugarloaf cabochons of moonstone surrounded by rose cut diamonds. A very handsome pair of 18K yellow gold cufflinks designed by Kieselstein-Cord to represent ancient Greek coins. The faces are decorated with images of horses, the animal sacred to the goddess Pallas Athena, and images similar to this often appear on the obverse of ancient coins minted in Athens. The surfaces and edges of the face a distressed and patinated to resemble truly ancient coins. Even the closing mechanism is designed in a way to suggest great age...

A pair of truly exceptional Shakudo cufflinks, the faces being a matched pair of mixed-metal plaques representing all the signs of the Chinese and Japanese Zodiac, including tigers, boars, dragons, rats, roosters, rabbits, snakes, oxen, dogs, monkeys, sheep and horses.
