A fine pair of vintage 18K yellow gold cufflinks in the "stirrup" style popularized by Cartier in the late 1940s. The cufflinks are constructed from a solid bar, finished at each end with interlocking arches. By pulling on the ends, the arches can be unfolded for each in putting the cufflinks through the cuff holes. Then, a simple flip up causes the arches to hold the fabric tightly together. A nice pair of vintage 18K yellow gold cufflinks in the flip-up stirrup style popularized by Cartier in the late 1940s. The circular ends are enhanced with engraved decoration. The pattern on each side is different, so depending upon which direction the ends are folded, the cufflinks have a strikingly variable look. The ends of the connectors are set with cabochon rubies. This is a tie clip and cufflinks by Swank, the kind that were used during the 1950s and early 1960s before men quit wearing shirts and ties so much. The set is silver colored and has a rather plain pattern, but is very classic looking. The tie clip is 2"long which is about standard, and the cuff links are each 1" in diameter. They are in very good condition, and all three pieces are marked Swank.

A nice pair of vintage 14K yellow gold cufflinks, the faces designed as a pair of discs joined by a diamond-shaped reserve. Each of the discs is engraved in a starburst motif, while the reserves feature oval star sapphire cabochons. The sapphires have good translucency and even, grayish-blue coloring. The stars are very distinct, bright and well-centered. The backs are marked "14K".
