Great massive Hopi sterling stylized buffalo concho belt, signed "GIBB STERLING". Attributed to Montano Gibbson There are 10 conchos, each measuring 3" by 2" and are backed with 2 copper loops to accept the black leather belt. The buffalos are oxydized and indented. This stunning large necklace has multi stands of red/orange and black beads. The outside strands are decorated with a few small bronze bell forms and separated with cast bronze separators. This necklace is from Cameroon Africa. The natural fiber cording ends are woven together and topped on one side with a shell and on the other side with a loop...together forming a clasp...very similar construction to necklaces out of Nepal

This necklace consists of 2 carved ivory beads 3/4ths inch diameter, 8 large carved bone beads 3/4th inch, and 88 smaller carved bone beads (1/2 inch). Each large bone and ivory bead has a protective metal sleeve around the stringing hole. If opened up the strand would measure approx 48 inches...beautiful patina on both the ivory and the bone beads....

This is an used Silver belt of Nyonya lady in Straits Settlements, in a quite good condition except some wear & tear (dented and scratches). I is with the flora and fauna design typical of the Chinese Works of art of the era, circa 1930s & can be older or earlier. Antique Peranakan or Straits Chinese silver belt, probably early 20th century. With its Aceh style Phoenix bird theme this belt was traditionally used by ladies at weddings and other festivities. The buckle – now missing but easily replaced by a matching textile ribbon - would have held a larger version of the Phoenix motif. With diffuse marks but tested for a silver content of 500/1000. Weight 143 grams. Length "14 ½ / 74 and width "1 ¾ / 4.5 cm. Condition: fine.

This antique bracelet from Tibet is both thick and weighty, but it is very small for a Western wrist. The opening measures a scant 1 inch.

Middle Eastern Sterling Silver Perfume bottle Hand tooled, well chased with a screw top . weight 35 g no apparent damage. Just over 3.5" high, acid tested as silver unmarked.

This is a heavy necklace with carnelian and a blue glass embellishment (three are missing as well as one small bottom dangle). The center stone shows some wear ( see photo). The chain, a replacement but identical to the original, measures 30", the pendant 3" x 4". Purchased in Africa during the 70's, the age is unknown.

This beautiful green turquoise nuggets and shell heishi necklace from the American Southwest is 29" long. The larger nuggets are 1" long and the smallest is 5/8" long. The nuggets are in excellent condition and have aged beautifully.The Heishi beads between the nuggets are characteristically from the Southwest. They might even be olive shell.

Chinese Gilt hairpin set with real jade and oriental pearl, from Qing Dynasty

Decorated with inlaid discs and squares of bone, horn and wood, in the manner of tribal or ethnographic art, this compelling long chain necklace has an exotic, sophisticated feel. The discs are decorated on both sides; the squares, only on one side. Each ring of the cable chain is completely secured with solder; the chain has no clasp but can be doubled. The dating is mostly likely 1950-1960, although it could be older. Doubled, the chain measures 28 ½ inches long. It is conservatively dated.

Large heavy gauge silver Hopi bolo. The oxydized bottom layer has a hand cut design top layer showing man and woman figures. The bolo measures 2" long by 1 5/8" wide. The black leather thong is 18 1/2" long doubled(39" long) and the silver tops are each 2 1/4" long. The mechanism in the back works perfectly. Excellent condition. this antique Tibetan pendant may have originally been used as earring or clothing ornament. I have slipped a simple black cord so it can now be used as a necklace. Coral and turquoise beads and silver decorations are all strung on a long silver post, so they can pivot around. the silver filigree disc at the bottom is missing one small filigree wire element, and possibly there was one a small stone in the middle of the disc...pendant measures 3+ inches long

Reply below. Acquired pre internet era as a collectible antique "Victorian" snake motif "wooden" bracelet which now appears to be a Black or Gold Coral branch bracelet carved crossover bypass bangle in snake motif, yet resembling carved Mississippi mud bakelite in color and swirls.
Also sometimes called "Gold" and can be almost black in color. It has an ethnographic "Easter Island" odd look snake appeal as well...
