Common to South Arabia and Yemen, the mesh "labbeh" or "Kirdam" were worn wrapped around the neck or attached to the sides of the headgear hanging down as a frame to women’s chin. This particular libbeh is from the late 1800’s–early 1900. This very finely made tribal labbeh has elaborate lengths of filigree and numerous dangling beads. Decorated with inlaid discs and squares of bone, horn and wood, in the manner of tribal or ethnographic art, this compelling long chain necklace has an exotic, sophisticated feel. The discs are decorated on both sides; the squares, only on one side. Each ring of the cable chain is completely secured with solder; the chain has no clasp but can be doubled. The dating is mostly likely 1950-1960, although it could be older. Doubled, the chain measures 28 ½ inches long. It is conservatively dated.

Stunning colorful Berber necklace from Morocco made of a variety of beads. The large center ball is enamel. It is surrounded by three strands of coral as well as glass and silver beads. The necklace measures 20 inches in length.
Originally, this was the largest of a set of 3 graduated matching silver necklaces. They were worn as a set for festival by the Miao Chinese Ethnic Minority women. The necklace was skillfully hand-formed from a sheet of silver into a curving tapered tube with a reposse pattern of 2 dragons chasing pearl. It spans 10.5 inches across.
High grade silver, partly gilded and decorated with blue enamel. Both parts have hallmarks on the inside. Dimensions: inside 8x7 cm. The widest part of the bracelet is 4 cm. Weight: 131 g.
Provenance: collection of a Dutch professor and anthropologist.

Reply below. Acquired pre internet era as a collectible antique "Victorian" snake motif "wooden" bracelet which now appears to be a Black or Gold Coral branch bracelet carved crossover bypass bangle in snake motif, yet resembling carved Mississippi mud bakelite in color and swirls.
Also sometimes called "Gold" and can be almost black in color. It has an ethnographic "Easter Island" odd look snake appeal as well...
An attractive gold plated signed AMITA JAPAN komai 6-1/2" bracelet. This bracelet is done in the Komai damascening technique in which gold, copper and silver are inlaid into etched grooves on black oxidized metal backings. Very interesting pin and earring stag horn set, probably German, late 19th century. The pin holds and old photograph of a woman (with painted accents on her earrings); the earrings hold tiny edelweiss flowers – very sweet. Very good condition; cracked glass to one earring. Pin measures 2”; earrings measure 1 1/4” from top of wire.
Outstanding very big vintage Santo Domingo necklace with a double strand of turquoise free form beads and spiny oyster heishe beads, and two large jaclas with turquoise heishe beads and cream stone beads. With the original stringing done in the traditional manner, on heavy string with some ends visible. Collectors may wish to preserve this but it could certainly be restrung.
