Antique Turkoman silver pendant, decorated in brightly colored enamel and set with a teardrop carnelian. The rectangular pendant suspends three enameled beads, also set with carnelians. Good condition; wear to enamel and metal; traces of solder. Measures 1 5/8” by 1 1/4”, 3” with beads.
A band of deeply embossed and oxidized silver encircles nearly half of this bangle, made of what looks to be lacquered bamboo. The design on the band is a combination of various symbols, one of which looks like an iris. The design is framed by a Greek key-like border; the band is secured to the wood bracelet by tiny pins. The bamboo surface shows few signs of wear; there is a tiny area of loss near the edge of the silver band (see Photo #3), but it very stable...
Common to South Arabia and Yemen, the mesh "labbeh" or "Kirdam" were worn wrapped around the neck or attached to the sides of the headgear hanging down as a frame to women’s chin. This particular libbeh is from the late 1800’s–early 1900. This very finely made tribal labbeh has elaborate lengths of filigree and numerous dangling beads. Many pieces of turkmen "jewelry" were sewn to clothing as amulets. This rare teke turkomen pendant was originally worn as a necklace and still has the original leather neckstrap. This piece has 5 flat carnelians and gold wash or "fireguilded" detail. The pendant is 6 inches across and 10 inches long.
A lovely Chinese carved green jade pendant in the form of a melon with a crane, leaf and integral bail ring. The jade has good translucency, light mottling, and nicely saturated color.
The crane, appearing along the upper left side of the melon's front, frequently represents longevity; the coins prosperity; and the melon itself has a number of meanings including fertility and plenty.

These gorgeous earrings each display two pear-shaped (oval) amethyst cabs, stemming out of leaves. They measure 1 1/2" long. The back of one is marked MEXICO STERLING. They are in excellent condition. (Oh, and they do have sterling, earring backs.)
