Here is an adorable stick pin! The pin is unmarked, but the gold tests at about 12kt. The total length is 2-1/8”, the dog’s face is 1/2” x 7/16”, and it weighs 0.9g. He may be a Weimaraner. They were bred as hunting dogs in the early 1800s in Germany, and were named after the Grand Duke Weimar. In real life they are a silvery color, but this guy is a nice warm gold...

Here is a fascinating ring consisting of strands of rose gold tied in a knot, and studded with gold balls. One ball is missing, which makes it pleasantly asymmetrical (it took us a while to realize that it wasn’t actually made that way!). The decorated area measures 5/8 x 1/2” and the shank measures 3/16”. The ring has a maker’s mark (“J.M”), the anchor for Birmingham, the date mark for 1903-4, “9”, and “375”, however it tests as 10k (not unusual)...

Beautiful saturated green interspersed with splotches of white attract the eye in the "spinach jade" band nestled in this 14k yellow gold "bamboo" ring. I am partial to band rings and I love everything bamboo, especially in jewelry, and here the two come together in a great piece. What I find particularly beautiful about the ring at hand is the thickness of the bamboo rims that hold the jade in place...

Here is a pretty ring, composed of 7 amethysts, birthstone for February (and in legend, thought to guard against poison) and on either side of the cluster, a bezel-set accent diamond and one tiny half seed pearl. The ring is approximately size 6.5, and would be easy to re-size. It is marked 10K and signed “ECI”. In excellent condition, with just a bit of patina. The gold is yellow, despite looking rosy in the photos. The photos are part of the description; please examine them carefully...

Here is a sweet pin by the very collectible Bippart, Griscomb & Osborn Co. of Newark, NJ (quite the hub of Art Nouveau jewelry making c. 1900). It is centered by a turquoise cab, with 2 freshwater pearls on either side, framed by a sinuous ribbon of 14kt gold. It has the BG&O maker’s mark and is stamped 14kt (the marks were hard to photograph). 1-3/4” x 5/16” at the widest point, and it weighs 3.2g. The photos are part of the description. Here is an interesting pin in the shape of a lyre (a very early version of the harp – Orpheus played the lyre). The coppery rose gold is engraved, with black enamel highlights, and dedicated to “GAO From G.V.” It measures 1-1/16” x 13/16” and weighs 3.6g, with the original old pin stem assembly. Unmarked, the brooch tests as 14k, and the pin stem tests as at least 10k. In excellent condition. The photos are part of the description; please examine them carefully...

Here is a pretty pin made by Hermann & Speck, well-known jewelers of Pforzheim in Germany in the years around the turn of the last century. It is centered by a blue sapphire, and it has a pearl dangle. It is marked 333 for 8kt gold, but when we tested it, it held for 10k. It is also marked “Depose,” which translates roughly as “patent.” It measures 1-7/16” x 1" including the pearl dangle, and weighs 2.5g. In excellent condition, and circa 1900...

Here is a great pair of white gold-fronted double “Sunrise” cuff links. Each end is marked WHITE GOLD FRONT BELAIS 14K; TALON GRIP TRADEMARK, and is octagonal, measuring 5/8” x 7/16”, with rigid connectors that are hinged at one end. We don’t know what the connecting “talon grips” are made from. The Belais Brothers were among the first to develop a formula for white gold (their patent was for 1917)...

Here is a lovely Victorian cameo, set in flourishes of yellow gold and decorated with 4 pearls. The background is a slightly darker pink than the lady. The attention to detail in the carving is very nice, and she is in excellent condition. There is one missing pearl, but it’s unnoticeable. It seems to say “SIG” in script across the back. The bale is signed with “10K” inside what looks like a stylized “C”. It measures 1-13/16” not including the bail, by 1”. We have some chains ...

With hallmarks dating 1948-1962, this Hector Aguilar bracelet is a book-piece design, shown in "Silver Masters of Mexico", by Penny C. Morrill.

It's a heavy hand-wrought piece, with five different Aztec metal symbols, giving the illusion that there are five separate panels. However, in fact there are two pieces which are joined together with a pin hinge. Closure is a pin on a chain. When closed this is an oval shape, so it won't spin around on the wrist.

Closed, wearable le...

Circa mid-century, this heavy chunky modernist onyx ring was produced by Antonio Pineda.

It's a rarely seen design, wide, solid, and absolutely killer, with inlaid onyx in a 970 silver setting.

Measures a 6 on a ring sizer. The side is quite wide, so may fit a little more snug than that. The silver has a sleek mirror-like finish.

Weight is 12.1 grams.

Signed and hallmarked with the Antonio Taxco Crown, 970 Silver Sterling Mexico, and the eagle ...
