Here is a lovely antique ring in unmarked but tested 18kt rose gold. The center stone is a ruby cut in an old style, but in really excellent condition. (It’s possible that it’s a replacement stone.) Here is a fascinating Georgian-era ring, possibly a mourning ring, which could have been worn by one of Jane Austen’s more affluent characters. It features a rose-cut diamond (pointed top instead of flat), set in 14kt gold with decorations in black enamel on the shank, which are still in excellent condition. The ring is approximately size 5. Impressive Georgian diamond cluster ring with nineteen diamonds in set in a silver setting with an 18K delicately incised and unusually shaped gold band dating to c. 1780. The pictures speak for themselves. An elegant Georgian 18K gold fob seal worked in a floral pattern and set at the base with an amethyst tablet engraved with an armorial crest. The floral design continues up the shoulders to the loop by which the fob would have been hung from a watch chain. Tested and guaranteed 18K gold.

This pretty ring consists of a flower made of six pearl “petals” (one of which is a replacement), centered by a tiny rose cut diamond. There is a compartment underneath, perhaps for storing a lock of hair, but no glass. The ring tests as a very strong 14kt, so it is probably 15kt (and therefore English). We love the patina of this antique delicate carved amethyst intaglio depicting a charming bird perched on solid ground, beak pointed upward mounted in a later, retro hammered 24K gold band. The ring is substantial at .38 inch high but not overwhelmingly large. At almost 14 grams and 24K (stamped), this ring is solid gold yet feels surprisingly light.
