Superb simplicity: elegant bronze and enamel brooch with a stylized profile in a circle, clearly inspired by the Bauhaus logotype created by Oskar Schlemmer. Unsigned, probably French, c 1930. Diameter "1 / 2.4 cm. Condition: fine.

Gold-filled cross pendant, 1880s French Louis XVI revival, the centre with a pink mabe pearl. Height of the cross "2 ¼ / 6, width "1 ½ / 4 cm. Condition: some age wear.

Honey colored amber brooch, made in Königsberg / Kaliningrad in the 1950’s. Four leaves and a gold-filled shaft with a Russian / Soviet hallmark. Width "1 ¾ / 4.5 cm. Condition: tip of one leaf with minimal damage (cf. pics).

This is a pretty and unique necklace, a book chain linked to a beautiful Art Nouveau locket by two large spring rings. One fastens the locket to four book chain links, the second links thems to the chain proper...

A great example of Finland Modernist jewelry from the 1960s, a large kinetic pendant made of bronze in a puzzle design by Pentti Sarpaneva. This has 5 interlocking puzzle pieces and a dangling ball.

Pendant measures 2 1/4" across and 5 3/4" to the top of the bale. Chain measures 18" long and has a hook closure.

Marked Finland, Bronze and P. Sarpaneva on the back of all the puzzle pieces.

Fine condition. Rare design. Lots of movement.

A modernist pendant in bronze designed by Jorma Laine, made in Finland. Depicts some kind of Viking creature with horns, very stylized.

This pendant measures 4" long and 2 1/8" wide. Original chain measures 25" long and has a hook clasp that holds securely. Pendant is signed Jorma Laine, Finland and Bronze.

Fine condition. Bold design.

A vintage brushed silver and clear crystal costume bracelet and earrings set. Length: 7.5 inches.

An interesting hand wrought ring in copper with two brass overlaid wires by JB Pericles. Marked Pericles Haiti on the back. Currently a size 7 but is adjustable.

Jean Baptist Pericles was closely associated with Winifred Mason Chenet d'Haiti who trained the exceptional jeweler, Art Smith.

This ring has some tarnish.

This stunning bracelet measures 7" around and 2" at the widest. Has a secure box closure and safety chain. Nice warm patina.

An important, rare modernist brooch by the renowned African American jeweler, Art Smith. Has a copper ball caged in swirled brass coils. The ball moves for an interesting effect.

Measures 3 1/4" long and 2 3/8" at the widest. Marked with the 'Art Smith' script signature. Has a secure rollover clasp. In fine condition with areas of tarnish.

A wonderful example of Mid Century Modernist design.

The Green man is an ancient symbol of nature, rebirth, spring, etc. These earrings are a vintage homage to the ancient legends, for someone who appreciates the unusual. Each earring is ~1" by 1". The age is unknown, probably 1940-50s.

Amethyst? No. Glass. Gold? No. Gold fill. Do those facts mean this lavalier is any less lovely? No! This charming lavalier is both antique and eye-catching. The stone is amethyst-colored glass and the metal is gold-fill. The lavalier is not marked, but the 20" gold-filled chain bears the maker's mark for Bates & Bacon. The lavalier is 1 1/8 X 3/4", not including the fresh-water pearl dropper. Circa 1900.
