A sterling silver abstract brooch by the MCM jeweler and sculpter, Joseph Skinger, (1911-1967). He was active in Vermont in the 1950s and 60s, working primarily in silver. Known for his modernist 'Slalom' ring.

This brooch measures 2 1/8" long and 1" at the widest. Marked Sterling Skinger.

This could also be worn as a pendant with a chain or cord laced through the curled top as shown.

In fine condition. There is a very slight bend near the clasp, probably done during production...

Here is a brightly colored, enamel Panda Bear charm: so cute. It measures 7/8" x 7/8". The back of the charm is marked MEXICO 925 and eagle 15 mark. Although eagle number 15 was used by such famous silversmiths as Los Castillo and Antonio Pineda, this piece was very, very likely to have been made by Castelan, who used only eagle number 15 and did some work with silver and enamel (although, he worked mostly with just sterling silver)...

Composed of oval twisted-wire rings, this 1960s long chain is easy to wear and has a very contemporary look. It is unmarked, but tests as sterling and is very well constructed, with each link secured with solder. There is no clasp, just throw it on and go. When worn, the chain drops 19 ¼ inches long. Weight: 33.7 grams

A sterling silver modernist bangle bracelet by noted Mid Century jeweler, Caroline Gleick Rosene. This bracelet is textured on some surfaces and smooth on others for an interesting contrasting effect. Marked Sterling Rosene on the inside. The mark is partially struck. Measures approximately 8" around. The bangle is easy to put on because of the oval shape. Great example of Mid Century studio jewelry.

Very modern mid century cufflinks cuff links marked 980, MARGARITA TAXCO MEXICO Sterling, a listed silversmith. Just under 20 Grams!,
1 X 3/4" X just under 3/8". Mid century styling. The flip mountings are a bit wavy, priced accordingly, yet work just fine and your jeweler could buff these nicely for you...

Striking, hand made, and large sterling MAYAN face BOLO made by MIGUEL and sold at RANCHO ALLEGRE, the largest silver shop in Taxco, during the 1960's-70's. The design shows a darkened silver background which highlights the shiny silver face, decorative element, and edge. The bolo measures 2" wide by 1 3/4" long and the decorative silver ends measure 1 1/4" long. The black fabric tie measures 39" long and has a small wear spot to the fabric but can be worn with no trouble or weakness...

Composed of a curving piece of forged wire, these earrings evoke a feeling of graceful movement. Each wire design is attached to a constrasting static teardrop-shaped top. They have secure posts and a nice patina from age. They are unmarked, but test definitively for sterling. Each earring measures just under 2 inches long by 1 inch wide. Gross weight: 5.7 grams total

Signed jasper and sterling pendant necklace on original cord by JO CATANZARO, c.1960's. I believe the purple and gray stone is jasper. Pendant measures 3" long and the center piece is 1 1/4" b 7/8". Signed "JO CATANZARO" and is excellent condition......$9 for insured USA shipping.

A classic looking bracelet, composed of a thick cuban link chain with a clasp formed as a belt with a buckle. The belt has two holes, and can be adjusted for a larger wrist, but looks best and is most secure when fastened at the smaller size. The belt end is secured by a hinged bar representing the belt loop. Accounting for the best fit, the bracelet length is about 7 ¼ inches; it is ½ inch wide at the buckle...

Have two overlapping wavy pieces of sterling, top is concave and the bottom is convex for an interesting effect.

Marked Sterling and with the mushroom mark of the artist on the back of one dangle. Marked sterling on the back of the screw backs which hold securely.

Have some minor surface scratches and a little tarnish...

These gorgeous earrings each display two oval amethyst flower cabs, stemming out of leaves. They measure 1 1/2" long x 7/8" from leaf to leaf. The back of one is marked MEXICO STERLING. They are in excellent condition.

Beautiful hand made sterling belt buckle by Novak, c.1970's. This post-modern arts & crafts 2-part buckle has a striking shiny finish,is hand hammered, and has granulated silver balls. It is signed "NOVAK" on each piece. Not marked sterling but guaranteed, and is part of wonderful collection. Large, it measures 3 1/4" wide by 2" high. Being offered is a circa 1964 .970 silver (better than sterling which is 925 parts silver per 1000 parts) bracelet by Antonio Pineda of Taxco, Mexico, attractive modernist piece comprising rectangular domed silver links with alternating bezel set tiger's eye cabochons; tongue and box clasp with security chain. Dimensions wearable 6 1/2"; 3/4" at its widest. Marked. In excellent condition. Nice heavy weight, Pineda the silver master! Do you have a copy of the UCLA Fowler Museum Pineda catalog?

We have a Matl Salas, gold wash, and snake bracelet to match a Matl snake necklace also listed on our site. The length is 8in. long but fits like a 7 in. bracelet because of it's width of .75in. and depth of the weave. The hallmark shown has a worn S and M and is also photographed on it's curved surface. These snakes are a time consuming work as they are hand woven with silver wire. All coils are present and beautifully spaced. The weight is 76 grams heavy.
