Pretty vintage pair of sterling silver and opal-like stone pierced earrings featuring a cabochon centered in a corded bezel, detailed with three small silver balls on the top and bottom, circa 1920, marked STERLING. Measures approx. 3/4" long. Front of earring is mint. The back has been converted to pierced and solder is visible.

In the style associated with Matilde Poulat the Mexican Deco sterling silver brooch presented here is big, bold and beautiful! Wrought en repoussage and embellished with hand-chasing feathers and beads surround three gorgeous turquoise cabochons in shades of blue and green. The brooch is open-backed like many of Matl’s early pieces and a pleasure to wear and to behold. It measures 2 3/4” wide by 1 7/8” tall and weighs 17.8 grams...

I don't use the term "rare" very often when presenting my jewelry yet in this case, I just had to! Because this specific version of one of my favorite designs, the multi-row repousse semi-spheres hinged bracelets usually adorned with turquoise cabs, is indeed very very difficult to come upon. What elevates the bracelet at hand above and beyond other similar examples is the sheer size of the repousse semi-spheres that make up its two "wings"...

The Clouds is one of the most sought after Spratling designs. It is shown full page in the book WILLIAM SPRATLING AND THE MEXICAN SILVER RENAISSANCE by Penney Morrill. With a silver quality of 980 and weighing 132 grams it displays a rich presence. An inner diameter of 4inches which is approximately 16.5 + inches allows the necklace to fit most. The links are built on a curve and are 1in. tall. The stones are a lovely well matched and warm teal colored turquoise...

Spratling often used the arrow in his silver necklace, bracelet, pin and container designs. This hand forged arrow was made in his very early years in Taxco, Mexico. The pin measures an impressive 3 inches long and is beautiful condition. Both the pin back and safety lock are in fine working order. Spratling designs can be seen in many permanent museum collections.

Lovely vintage sterling and moonstone ring by Georg Jensen Denmark. This has an early Jensen hallmark, dating it 1915-30. The ring is a size 8 3/4 but can be sized. Weighing 5 grams, it is in fine original condition with hallmarks as shown. Charming.

When Frederick W. Davis (1880-1961) designed this most unusual necklace he likely chose this ancient hand carved stone from his Pre-Columbian collection. The wearable length of the necklace is 20 inches. The pendant including cascabeles is 2 3/4" X 2". The small jade mask looks to be from the ancient Mexican city of Teotihuacan. When the artist placed the jade mask in onyx, he may have carved it to replicate the large ear adornments and necklace that priests of Teotihuacan wore...

Classic Fred Davis chevron bracelet featured on page 27 of the book MEXICAN SILVER by Morrill and Berk. They date it c. 1930. It measures 7 1/2" end to end and is 1" wide. It weighs 44 grams and is in fine original condition. Signed as shown. Very beautiful and wearable.

Fabulous early Art Deco Egyptian revival necklace with five tiers of colorless round beads festooned between two sterling silver mounted incredible green glass paste scarabs, with sterling filigree slide clasp. 1930s. The clasp is marked STERLING. Probably French. The colorless beads are probably rock crystal. They don't look like glass...

Early pre-eagle large bracelet with a lacy flower form pattern. Circa 1940. Marked STERLING 925 TAXCO. With a darkened aged finish. It weighs 59 grams. Circa 1930's - 1940's, this easel frame is the work of Matilde Poulat / Matl. It's entirely hand-wrought and exquisitely crafted, with two beautiful repoussé birds. There is a faceted amethyst along with branch coral and turquoise and coral cabochons. It's very rare to find one of these frames which was made by Matilde Poulat, herself, in this early time frame, and this one pulls out all the stops. Measures 4 1/4" wide, 3 1/2" tall...

Beautiful sterling articulated necklace with many glittering crystal round and baguette stones and a pendant with a huge brilliant peridot green glass openback and unfoiled stone. A superb early vintage Mexican Silver Bracelet by the famous Matilde Poulat aka MATL. Features her signature ornate silver work and a lovely combination of Coral and Turquoise cabochon stones. Measures 7" long, 1 1/2" wide and is quite heavy at 79.5 grams. With the early hallmark "Matl, 0.925, Hecho en Mexico, D.F. MATL" which dates the bracelet to the 1934-48 time period. (Mark is a bit worn). In good condition with a secure box clasp. A fantastic bracelet by this highly sought after artist.
