A Mid Century Modernist sterling silver pendant in a brutalist style signed Macefield for William Mason and Leonard Field, American studio jewelers who worked in Massachusetts in the 1940's -70's.
The pendant measures 1 3/4" long and 3/4" at the widest. Signed Macefield Sterling on the back.
This pendant has been paired with a sterling neck ring that is 13" around with an opening of 1 1/2". It can be adjusted if needed...
A sturdily cast piece, this leaf pin is formed as seven fronds with incised veins that are enhanced by oxidation. It has a safety clasp and is marked sterling on the back. It measures 3 inches by 2 1/2 inches at its widest part.
Two vintage hand wrought unusual sterling silver brooches from the American Studio Modernist jeweler, John Lewis are available. Made up of a sterling ribbons curled and formed into flower designs.
The thicker one measures about 1 3/8" across and 1 1/4" high. Measures 1/4" thick. Heavy and substantial for its size. Marked Sterling and with the crossed JL mark of the artist. The JL is partially off the edge.

An enameled violin is suspended from an enameled treble clef, both enhanced with marcasite. The clef bears a rollover clasp on the back, and the violin is marked Germany/sterling silver. When worn with the clef at a slight angle, the 1960s pin measures approximately 2 inches long by ¾ inch wide at the violin. Weight: 5.2 grams
Bolo tie, leather and silver with an Aztec warrior and inlay of blue turquoise chips. Marked Mexico and 925, probably made c 1960. Height of the silver slide "1 ½ / 4 cm, length of cord "43 / 110 cm. Condition: some tarnish.

This is a small pin, but its design reflects both charm and sophistication, with overlapping strands of sterling silver terminating in a smooth, fused surface. It is beautifully oxidized, which gives the piece depth, and nicely sets off the 6mm coral bead. The pin is marked ‘phyllis’ and sterling on the back, for modernist jeweler Phyllis Sklar. Sklar began selling her handcrafted jewelry in Greenwich Village during the 1950s, eventually moving to Provincetown, MA, where she died in 2010...
This attractive pin features an openwork, foliate design, with a Jensen-inspired aesthetic. The pin has a substantial look and feel, representing a quality Danecraft line from the 1940s. Fun and perfect for this summer - especially if you decide to stay away from beaches! - this mod sterling silver "fish with air bubble" necklace by Los Castillo comes out of the workshop's "onix negro" line of jewelry. I find this technique fascinating - it poses a big challenge to the lapidary's and silversmith's abilities as the onyx slab has to be carved out precisely to the dimensions of the sterling inlay that will be set in it...

Bracelet measures 6 1/4" around with an opening of 7/8". Measures 1 1/4" at the widest. In fine condition with some minor surface scratches and tarnish. A little out of round. Some numbers on the outside, maybe 925 but only a partial strike. Has a very Mid Century Scandinavian feel to it...

This sterling silver bracelet is made of solid hand-worked, twisted circular links that fit nicely together. The secure clasp consists of a hinged figure-eight that snaps over a bead. The link with the clasp has a dividing bar probably for ease of closure. There is a partial sterling mark and what looks like a numeral or maker’s mark on the inside of one link. The bracelet measures a little over 8 1/2 inches long by 3/4 inch wide. Weight: 62 grams
