RARE and BEST Salvador Teran necklace I've ever seen and possibly one of a kind. This is a beautifully executed, thick silver bracelet that is 1in. wide on the side panels. The piece weighs 29.7 grams and has an airy cut out design and features an amethyst cabachon. It is slightly sizable and fits a 6.5in. to a 7in. the best. Marked Silver Mexico which dates the piece to pre-1948. This example of early Taxco silver work is a classic and displays an aura of elegance to those who gaze upon it.

Measuring 27" long, this 940 sterling silver & copper necklace was designed c. 1940-50's by Taxco, Mexico artist Hector Aguilar (1905-86). The center disc is 1 1/2" wide graduating to 1/2" at the back. Weight is 124 grams. Beautiful condition & patina. Each disc is connected to the next with a silver rivet giving the design fluid movement. Signed TAXCO HA 940 eagle #9. Margot de Taxco loved combination pin / pendant necklaces and she designed them so that you could take the brooch away and still link the two lengths of chain and wear them alone as an elegant choker. I suspect that many pieces were comprised of inter-changeable elements so if you had this set and a different pin/pendant out of her “hand-hammered” line, for example, you could theoretically attach to this chain and enjoy that second brooch as a necklace too...

The clasp on this sterling silver bracelet is fashioned as a buckle, with a hinged bar that closes over the end of the ‘belt’ to secure it. The bracelet is constructed as three hinged pieces, with bands of chain work applied to the outside. It is marked 925 Mexico on the inside of the securing bar. This is a vintage Mexican silver signed Patino bracelet and necklace set with color changing alexandrite glass stones. When any Patino designs turn up I want them all! The work is always done in exceptionally heavy silver and the details are hand carved. The stones on the bracelet are .50in. high and the link is .78in. wide. Los Castillo clamper design 508 is constructed of heavy repousse and weighs 79 grams. The diameter is 2.5 and will fit most. The size is a manageable 2.75 in. tall and the spring is tight. This design is an obvious Margot work of art when married to Antonio Castillo. Very well cared for with no dents or damage.

This cute, sterling silver pin / brooch is a Mexican cat character. He is wearing a bowtie and has abalone (like, fur) belly. It measures 1 1/4" x 1/2" The back is marked with the #3 Assay Mark. It is also marked TAXCO MEXICO, in a circle, with JRC .in the middle. It is in excellent condition.

Dating early 1940's, this is a rarely seen Los Castillo necklace. Likely a Margot design, as she was married to Antonio Castillo at that time. It's a gorgeous piece, with the centerpiece measuring 4 5/8" across, 3" tall. Lays perfectly on the neck, and looks spectactular on. Closed, wearable length is 16". Weight is 92.6 grams. Collector quality, with no issues whatsoever. Excellent in every way.

This rare inlaid sterling silver belt buckle was designed & signed circa 1950's by modernist Taxco, Mexico artist Antonio Pineda. The buckle measures 5 1/4" across X 2 1/4" high & weighs 137 grams. This is a Rafael Dominguez turquoise bracelet made before 1948 and properly hallmarked as shown. The weight is 58 grams heavy and is 1.25in. wide. It is 7in. long. The silver is thick and Dominguez is know for his high quality workmanship. Dominguez is a noted maestro in Penny Morril's books. When you own a Dominguez piece you know you bought the best! The stones are beautiful and have no chips or cracks. The piece looks fantastic with the turquoise drippy necklace also listed on my site.

Felipe Martinez opened his shop, "Piedra Y Plata" in 1950.
