Beautiful repousse' work in this elegant design by William Spratling brings the piece to life. Weighing 23 grams and measuring 3" x 2" the brooch was designed as a dress or fur clip. Spratling designed this piece in a few different sizes. For comparison see the 4" x 3 1/2" example also listed on our site. All in beautiful condition with excellent patina. The larger size is included in the permanent collection of 20th century Mexican silver at LACMA.

Dramatic & eye catching, this vintage 1950's onyx & sterling silver bracelet was designed by Taxco, Mexico artist Antonio Pineda. Weighing a hefty 149 grams the bracelet has a wearable length of 7 inches. Each link is 1 1/2" wide. The deep black stones are in fine condition & gleam in the light as the wrist moves. An early cross pendant in Sterling Silver with Coral, Amethyst and Turquoise by Matilde Poulat. Cross measures 1 3/4" wide and 1 7/8" tall. Marked MATL in script, Mexico, 925 and Pate 10670. Amethyst stone is faceted. Suspended on a 26" long Taxco hand wrought sterling chain marked with an Eagle #3, and the initials PCM. Fine condition, the colors of the stones are vibrant. An unusual pair of twisted Taxco, Mexico Sterling Silver earrings with bronze or copper ends by William Spratling. We have not been able to find another pair in this design. Measure 3/4" across and 5/8' high. Marked on the back of each screw back with Spratling Silver which was used from 1940-44. Screw backs hold securely. Have some tarnish, a tiny ding and minor scratches. Great design. Pre Eagle.

A first design period sterling silver cuff bracelet by William Spratling. This cuff, known as the 'Dog Bone', measures 5 3/4" around with an opening of 1 3/8" and 7/8" wide at the ends. Probably could be slightly adjusted if needed. Marked with the incised WS with Spratling Made in Mexico in a circle mark, and Sterling. Has some minor scratches and tarnish and some very tiny dings. A true find for the collector.

Antonio Pineda was masterful with this design. Each stone of onyx is reflected by 4 silver mirrors. The bracelet has a length of 7in and a height of 1in. This is properly signed and is one of the Pineda's featured in the book SILVER SEDUCTION. The weight is 95 grams of 970 pure silver. The presence is rich and sleek. Hard to find and in a condition with no issues. All stones are without chips. This was difficult to photograph as the "mirrored" reflections blur the lines...

A stunning cast sterling necklace with four amethyst arrowhead shaped carved stones. Measuring 16 1/2" (42 cm) long, the central sterling pieces are 1 1/2" (4.1 cm) x 1 1/8" (3.2 cm) and the two side pieces are 1 1/8" (3.2 cm) in each direction. The amethyst pieces measure 1 3/8" (3.9 cm) X 5/8" (2 cm), including the sterling caps. Beckmann sold in San Miguel de Allende from the late 1950's through the 1970's. This is a wonderful example of the earlier work that came out of her shop...

Here is a solid, well crafted sterling bracelet with greens stones(perhaps turquoise but probably chrysocolla- not tested). With partially obliterated marks, it appears to be 950 sterling. The clasp is a bit tricky - it snaps shut, but to open, one needs to press down on the turquoise cab while pressing the bottom of the box clasp to release the locking mechanism.Measuring 8" x 3/4", it weighs a hefty 84grams.
