Interesting vintage pin in hand-hammered copper with an overlaid sterling silver abstract representation of a female nude. This highly artistic and original pin has a tiny hallmark which I do not recognize (see photos). It measures 1.5" in length and has an older hook type clasp. In excellent condition.

Vintage, stylish, organic shaped sterling clip earrings with oxidized areas by Arizona Modernist H. Fred Skaggs. Measuring 1 1/2" by 1 1/4", they weigh 11 grams total and are in fine original condition. Signed as shown. Interesting and unusual.

This sterling silver necklace is composed of diamond-shaped elements, linked by handmade oblong rings. The entire necklace, including the rings, exhibits a hammered surface and probably dates from the 1970s. It has a very secure hook closure and bears a mark for sterling, as well as Peru. Marked Ted Lowy in script and Sterling. Have some minor surface scratches and a little tarnish. Toggles function appropriately. Toggles are marked Sterling and with a patent number. Great mid century design.

A modernist sterling silver brooch with a large raw amethyst stone by Charles H. Cole who signed his work with a face hallmark. The facial features spell out his last name. Also signed Sterling. Active 1930s-50s. Measures 1 3/4" long and 1 1/4" wide. Has a rollover safety clasp that holds tightly. Hand made piece. Pretty purple color.

This studio piece features two engraved and oxidated textured designs on the main cuff, with an applied arching, overlapping band. Its distinctive, oblong shape is surprisingly comfortable and conforming to the shape of the wrist. It appears to have been hardly worn, and is nicely crafted. These examples are both signed 'jb' and sterling, but it is unclear who this was and if they had any relationship to Lewis. They are even signed the same way but with jb instead of the crossed JL.

The necklace has a lightly hammered texture, circles are various sizes. Measures 18" long with the widest circle measuring 7/8". Very delicate, weighs 8 gr. ...

A sterling silver modernist brooch by Helen Scheier Adelman, (1909-1999), American Mid Century jeweler. This brooch depicts two antelope in thick polished sterling with a darker bumpy surface enamel background.

Measures 1 3/8" tall and 1 1/8" at the widest. Signed Adelman and Sterling on the back. Nice contrast between the darkened rough and shiny layers. Rollover clasp holds securely. Has some minor surface scratches.

The focus of this studio necklace is the central drop of translucent banded agate, suspended by a chain of hand-forged links. The agate is securely mounted in an open-back bezel framed, and the hook closure is also hand-wrought. Each connecting ring is soldered closed, exhibiting a high quality of workmanship. The piece is likely from the 1970s-1980s. The necklace measures 24 inches long; the agate pendant drops by an inch.

This interesting studio piece is composed of a geometric lattice-like design set with a dyed blue chalcedony in a secure bezel mounting. The spring-ring clasp is secure and marked 925 for sterling; the oblong panels linked by chain also test strongly as silver. The necklace measures 18 inches long, with a 3-inch-long center drop. Gross weight: 38.8 grams

A clever design composed of three forged wires terminating in curls at each end. The bracelet is handmade and quite sturdy. It bears a mark inside one curl of a three-lobed cypher and STG, possibly for sterling. The metal shows a very strong test for silver. The bracelet has a 6 ½-inch internal circumference, which includes a 1 1/4–inch opening; it is ¼ inch wide. Weight: 21 grams

A sterling silver, heavy key chain and fob by noted American Modernist Jeweler, Paul Voltaire. Features a heavy hammered disk attached to a thick curb chain with a hammered squeeze closure key ring at the other end. Measures 6 1/4" long. Marked Paul Voltaire Sterling. Inscribed Breezy, Xmas 1950 on the back of the disk. Very well made. Fine design.

This is a small pin, but its design reflects both charm and sophistication, with overlapping strands of sterling silver terminating in a smooth, fused surface. It is beautifully oxidized, which gives the piece depth, and nicely sets off the 6mm coral bead. The pin is marked ‘phyllis’ and sterling on the back, for modernist jeweler Phyllis Sklar. Sklar began selling her handcrafted jewelry in Greenwich Village during the 1950s, eventually moving to Provincetown, MA, where she died in 2010. So...

A modernist sterling silver ring by Oscar Aaroe, (1905-1996), a jeweler and silversmith born in Denmark who apprenticed with Georg Jensen and had his store on Palm Springs, California. This ring feels Southwestern in design and was probably influenced by the Native American silversmiths in the area.

Has a bezel set dark green - almost black smooth stone. Measures size 9.

An unusual pendant by the noted modernist jeweler, Paul Lobel. This pendant, made of sterling with an amber insert, can be worn on either side for 2 different looks. A vintage modernist sterling silver ring with a greyish brown moonstone like cabochon by noted silversmith, Maxwell Chayat. Measures size 7.5. Marked with a partially struck Chayat and Sterling. The ring is in very nice condition, with some tarnish. There is a little bit of roughness to the edge of the cabochon, but most likely was done during production. It was probably resized at one point. Well made and heavy, great mid century design.

A vintage sterling silver geometric pendant with an inlay of exotic wood and a carnelian colored cabochon. Hand wrought intricate chain marked sterling on the hook clasp. Pendant measures 1 5/8" long and 7/8" across. Chain measures 19" long. Chain is original to the pendant, it can't be removed. Fine condition. Interesting contrast between wood and sterling surfaces. This pendant was constructed by a studio jeweler in the Brutalist style. It is composed of a rounded plaque with organic, coral-like protrusions applied to an oxidized surface. The tip of one branch is set with a white sapphire. The bail is very sturdy; the back shows a distinctive but unidentified maker’s mark. The pendant measures a little over 1 ½ inches long (the bail adds another 1/4 inch) and 1 ½ inches at its widest point. It comes with a vintage 20-inch sterling snake chain. Gross we...
