This ring design features a constructionist approach to the classic 1960s domed ring. Ridged protrusions overlay a grainy, textured surface. The band is separated for ease of sizing; it is quite thick, so probably would need professional adjustment. It is currently a size 7. Weight: 11.4 grams

A classic look from a well-known Italian designer. Made of scored, slightly twisted links, each link bisected by a textured bar. Bracelet has full set of marks, indicating a registration city of Arrezzo, Italy, and .800 silver content. Bracelet measures 9 inches long, including chain; inserting bar clasp into the second-to-last link reduces the length to 8 inches. Weight: 52.3 grams

This ring features spore-like protrusions and was made most likely in the 1960s or 1970s. It is a very small size, a 3 ¾, and shows minimal signs of having been re-sized, including what looks like a partial mark for silver (it tests for sterling). There is also a hand-engraved maker’s mark of BARZ. The top measures about 5/8 inch wide by ¼ inch high. Weight: 6.4 grams

This is a Rafael Dominguez turquoise bracelet made before 1948 and properly hallmarked as shown. The weight is 58 grams heavy and is 1.25in. wide. It is 7in. long. The silver is thick and Dominguez is know for his high quality workmanship. Dominguez is a noted maestro in Penny Morril's books. When you own a Dominguez piece you know you bought the best! The stones are beautiful and have no chips or cracks. The piece looks fantastic with the turquoise drippy necklace also listed on my site.

A classic looking bracelet, composed of a thick cuban link chain with a clasp formed as a belt with a buckle. The belt has two holes, and can be adjusted for a larger wrist, but looks best and is most secure when fastened at the smaller size. The belt end is secured by a hinged bar representing the belt loop. Accounting for the best fit, the bracelet length is about 7 ¼ inches; it is ½ inch wide at the buckle...

This 1960s necklace features narrow, vertical panels of graduated length with a textured surface decorated with pink and yellow gilding; the edges show a bit of darker oxidation. Competently constructed and designed to sit flat and move gracefully when worn; all panels are in place and show no signs of wear. The box clasp, which has a figure-eight safety catch, is marked Italy, with possible maker’s initials of FGS; they overlay the mark for .925 (sterling) silver...

This whimsical midcentury sterling silver bracelet features large, novelty charms on a thick chain, all marked Mexico; it was probably made for the tourist trade. The charms consist of a ewer, a replica of an Aztec calendar stone, a bell, what looks to be a cooking utensil or pot, a sandal, a sombrero and a jug. All show very little wear. The bracelet’s box clasp is marked Castelan, a Taxco maker, and has marks for Mexico and sterling, including an eagle 15...

Made of interlocking solid box links, this sterling silver chain has a sturdy feel and appears to have been hand-assembled. It has a novel W-shaped clasp. It is unmarked, but tests as sterling silver. The links are well designed and have a smooth, snake-like movement. The chain measures 26 ½ inches long, unclasped. The links measure about 1/8 inch thick. Weight: 28.1 grams

This rare vintage sterling silver and sodalite necklace and earrings was designed and signed c. 1950's by Taxco, Mexico modernist designer Antonio Pineda (1919-2009). Comprised of 14 sterling silver bezel set links each holding a deep blue stone veined with pink to cream to gold calcite accents. Necklace measures 15 1/2" wearable length and 5/8" wide. Slide in clasp is tight and secure. Screw back earrings are 1 1/2" long and designed with the same open silver platform backing as the necklace...

Vintage sterling silver and copper pin or brooch designed and signed (1940's) by American and Taxco, Mexico artist William Spratling(1900-67). Pin measures 3 3/8" across. Fully hallmarked with Spratling's 1940 marks. Beautiful condition with an excellent patina. No dents or dings. Pin and lock work perfectly. Matching earrings also available. Pictured in MEXICAN SILVER by Penny Morrill and Carole Berk on p.57.

Five large cabochons with pink banding are set in sterling silver frames that are deeply oxidized and embossed with a ridged design. They are linked by oblong rings that are similarly decorated. The highly polished stones are securely prong set and show no scratches or other signs of wear; they may be rhodochrosites, which were popular in the 1950s. The fold-over clasp is very secure and in good working order. The bracelet is unmarked, but tests definitively for sterling...

Composed of stylized S-shaped rods of sterling silver with beads at each end, joined by soldered connecting rings. The jump ring exhibits unidentified marks, probably European, possibly Italian. The necklace tests definitively for sterling silver. It measures 18 ¾ inches long unclasped. Weight: 11 grams

Amazing pendant / brooch by Michigan silversmith John Pagacz, circa 1950s. In sterling silver with three cultured pearls. The two darkened areas in the center are recessed, oxidized to create the patina, and hand detailed with a pattern. The workmanship in Pagacz's work is truly amazing. Unsigned. Has both a loop for a chain, and a pin mechanism so that the piece can be worn as a brooch. Measures a large 2.25" x 1.5. Excellent vintage conditon.

Our photos don't do justice to these bronze and sterling silver artisan-crafted earrings. The curved bronze crescent shapes are bisected by undulating sterling silver forms. Each earrings is completely hand crafted, with the exception of the sterling screw back mechanisms. Circa 1960s. From the posts to the bottoms, the earrings hang approximately 3". Marked "sterling" on the screw-backs.

Are you bold enough for this ring, with it's huge, sparkling grey druzy stone? The crystal measures approximately 1.5" when measured from its longest point. It is pale grey, which sparkling gold inclusions (pyrite?) layering the top. Set in sterling silver. The band is adjustable, currently size 7. Marked with an unknown hallmark, "Taxco 925."
