Nicely framed antique print. Light foxing but more pronounced on the edges. The frame measures 13" x 18". Not examined out of frame-sold as is. "In the French engraving Le Lever after Freudenberg, of the 1780s (illustration, right), gentle social criticism is levelled at the lady of the court; that she slept without unlacing her stays, apparently, perhaps can be seen as artistic licence...

L'Evenement au Bal ~ Freudeberg....Nicely framed antique print. Light foxing but more pronounced within the boxed script and on the edges. No date. The frame measures 13" x 18". Not examined out of frame -sold as is.

A small oil on canvas with period frame. The frame measures 11" x 13". Signed in the lower right corner.

In the early 1980s Haku Maki produced this unusual print, Poem 3. It has a kanji bottom margin (Mountain and Water) and is only slightly embossed. It is as if he started to do a lithograph and then decided to emboss it a bit. It is a modest-size print and not spectacular. By the time he did this print Maki had finished with embossed kanji and ceramics and was heading toward less compelling work.Poem 3 has a gold sun right center, but the print has no drama and no oomph. 15x15cm.

Arnold Friedman, 1874-1945, New York City. Modernist painter known for Abstract Views, Figures and Still Life. Oil on canvas, 20"H by 24"w, signed lightly LL. It is in a period frame. Provenance: Purchased from the artist by Rosenberg Gallery, Direct descent through family to present owner. Friedman is considered an extremely gifted and original American Modern painter by scholars and art historians today...

Abraham Bloemaert, Dutch, 1564-1651. This exquisite drawing in ink, wash and chaulk is a fine example of Bloemaert's talent. It is 13.2 cm h by 9.5 cm w.Provenance: Private Collection, Leslie Hindman Auction, Private Collection, Fine English Collection ( paper verso ). Condition is good and it has an old label from Folio fine Art LTD in London. The son of an architect, Abraham Bloemaert, known for painting, engraving and teaching, was born in Gorinchem, Holland in 1564...

In 1990 Haku Maki produced as many as 6 different images of famed Mt Fuji(Fuji-san). Here are three, each one printed from a different block.

Haku Maki tried to work until he died; the last images were not pretty. They were printed first on very thin paper, which was then “wrapped” around heavy shikishi board. They are lithographs not done from wood blocks. From the late 1980s Maki had stopped doing embossed prints turning instead to collages and lithographed prints. These are among his last prints: Kyowa brand Shikishi board is made in Japan...

Charles F. Daubigny, French, 1817-1878, "The Large Sheepfold," Etching, image size 7 1/4 x 13 5/8 inches, 1860, cat: Melot- D.95, framed. Provenance: Frederick Keppel & Co.

A Fine Silkscreen Print by the Listed Artist, Herbert W. Pratt. This print, titled "Low Tide" was in the Museum of Modern Art, New York Exhibition of Color Prints Under $10 by American Artists in 1940. Signed and titled twice, in the print and in blue pencil at bottom. Print is hinged at top of matt. Matt opening measures about 20 1/2" by 14 1/2", overall matt about 28 1/2" by 22 1/2".

Original and unique terracotta sculpture of a seated figure by Irma Rothstein (American, born in Russia, 1896-1971), incised signature on the base, in excellent condition. This rare work measures roughly 11"h by 11"w by 7"d. Irma Rothstein is an American sculptor born in Rostov (Rostoff), Russia. She lived in Vienna before emigrating to the USA in 1938. A Fine and Rare 1893 Etching and Aquatint by the Well Regarded Belgian Artist, Felicien Rops (1833-1898). Image size is about 3 1/2" by 4 1/4", sheet size about 7" by 10 1/2". Monogramed lightly F.R. in red pencil under image.

Jean Baptiste Camille Corot, 1796-1875, French, "Paysage d'Italie," Etching, image size 6 x 9 1/8 inches, cat: Melot- C.7, later printing without Cadart lettering, possibly after it was removed. This is a very nice impression with wide borders, printed on a medium weight cream colored laid type paper. This atmospheric image from Corot's series of Italian landscapes is a great example of his ability to capture the life and movement of the scene with loose spontaneous lines and rich tones.
