Jean Baptiste Camille Corot, 1796-1875, French, "Paysage d'Italie," Etching, image size 6 x 9 1/8 inches, cat: Melot- C.7, later printing without Cadart lettering, possibly after it was removed. This is a very nice impression with wide borders, printed on a medium weight cream colored laid type paper. This atmospheric image from Corot's series of Italian landscapes is a great example of his ability to capture the life and movement of the scene with loose spontaneous lines and rich tones.

A Fine Silkscreen Print by the Listed Artist, Herbert W. Pratt. This print, titled "Low Tide" was in the Museum of Modern Art, New York Exhibition of Color Prints Under $10 by American Artists in
1940. Signed and titled twice, in the print and in blue pencil at bottom. Print is hinged at top of matt. Matt opening measures about 20 1/2" by 14 1/2", overall matt about 28 1/2" by 22 1/2".

Haku Maki tried to work until he died; the last images were not pretty. They were printed first on very thin paper, which was then “wrapped” around heavy shikishi board. They are lithographs not done from wood blocks. From the late 1980s Maki had stopped doing embossed prints turning instead to collages and lithographed prints. These are among his last prints:
Kyowa brand Shikishi board is made in Japan...
In 1990 Haku Maki produced as many as 6 different images of famed Mt Fuji(Fuji-san). Here are three, each one printed from a different block.
