A beautifully painted watercolor titled on reverse backing "After the Storm/Point Vicente" painted in 1998 by the noted California illustrator artist BOB DOUGHTY (1924-2011). The subject is the lighthouse at Point Vicente not far from Long Beach and the Palos Verdes Peninsula. The 13" by 20" watercolor " (22 1/4" by 29" framed, behind Plexi) is in excellent, fresh condition, the colors vivid, though the mat should be replaced with a fresh one...

There is no date on the painting but a guess of 1950 would likely be close. The work measures 18 1/2" by 15 1/4" (21 1/2" by 18" framed). Condition is excellent with just a very small uneven/pressure mark area in the canvas to the right of the petal at right, and there are a few pinpoint losses in that area...

This is a fine 1919 work featuring roses and their stems and leaves, signed at right center by artist A. E. DALE and dated there 1919. I do not see a listing for this obviously talented artist. The painting, 17" by 13" inside the mat and 23" by 20" framed, is in amazingly fresh condition considering it was painted nearly 100 years ago. The paper is not yellowed and there is no foxing. The frame is contemporary and in excellent condition...
