The age would be about circa 1960's/1970's. A standard 12" by 16" frame will make this wall-ready. The condition is excellent.

Condition is excellent overall, though I note two very light scuffs at right to the left of the lifesaver ring. A cute whimsical work for your wall.

A detailed gouache painting of two female and one male figure in a green landscape with trees and flowers, 9 1/2" by 7 1/2" (13 1/2" by 11 1/2" in gold framing), painted in the centuries-old traditional style of the Indo-Persian School, but contemporary. The condition is excellent and this is a very decorative piece. The amount of work involved to create such a detailed image is stupendous---though the market undervalues the handiwork.

Watercolor painting of some age, 13" by 10 1/2" (22" by 18" framed), the subject simply a tree, but, that subject is handled very beautifully, and the work is signed at lower right by artist Paula Day (on whom I find no information). The interpretation of light and color belies the hand of a talented artist. Judging from the framing materials this dates no later than the mid 1960's and likely earlier. I recommend a new mat only; the frame can be retained.

Oil on canvas painting of autumnal trees in an extensive landscape, signed lower right by artist SAIMA SYVERSON (1891-1978). The work, 24" by 30" (29" by 35" in circa 1950's attractive frame) is an impressive size, and the rich impasto brushwork adds to the appeal. Condition is excellent save for a 1" small narrow loss at extreme top left, and there is a small piece of the frame missing at bottom center...

A very pretty impressionist work that appears to show spindly eucalyptus-like trees in a hazy landscape, some small red tile roofs suggesting this could be California or possibly Mediterranean Europe. The piece is signed at lower right "J R HUPPI" or similar. It measures 9" by 12" (canvas laid on board) and 16" by 19" as framed. There is a Salt Lake City framers or gallery stamp on the frame ("Tivoli Gallery"). A light cleaning to remove some yellowed varnish would be beneficial...

Watercolor painting of a harbor, probably Maine, signed at lower right corner by artist M. Matheson and titled in pencil on the reverse, appropriately, "Quiet Harbor" (with original $35.00 price). The work, on heavy watercolor paper, measures 15 1/2" by 22 1/2". It having slid down under the mat due to the old tape losing its grip, I removed this from the mat and frame, which are (possibly) available at no extra charge. The fairly ordinary frame measures 22 1/2" by 27 1/2"...

A primitive, circa 1880's oil on gray board landscape painting in the Hudson River style, with trees, water, and tiny figures completing the view. Measurements are 18 3/4" by 24 1/2", unframed. There is no signature. The board is slightly warped from old moisture exposure, which caused paint instability/flaking/losses at top couple of inches, as shown, and cracking at lower right. There are also a few light abrasions as shown.

Oil on panel, 12" by 9", unframed, signed at lower left "Brandon" or "Granlee"; hard to decipher, but the signature has a professional look to it. The work features flaming yellow aspen in fall, it would appear. Rapidly painted with highly impressionistic strokes, the work is complete. The sticker on back with 888 phone number indicates a date of execution after 1996. Put a standard size 12" by 9" frame around this and hang it on the wall.

An impressive work, oil on canvas laid on Masonite, circa 1950, featuring a twilight view of the Seine, bridge, Notre Dame, and numerous pedestrians and vehicles, all in an impressionistic hand, measuring 23" by 31" (31" by 39" in attractive period distressed style white frame). The painting is signed at lower left with what appears as "Fred" or possibly "Freda" or "Frieda" and after that "de XXX"...

Beautifully painted impressionist work by artist "Rosis", dated at lower right 1961, the scene buildings and old style lamp posts, the French tricolor flag appearing several times. The painting though created at mid twentieth century seems to harken back to the famous late 19th century scenes by vaunted artists like Monet, Sisley, Pissarro, and the other major impressionists. I do not see a listing under this name but the artist was very talented...

A still life on board, of fruit on a green table cloth with white pitcher, unframed, 12" by 16", signed in the wet paint by listed Connecticut woman artist SUSAN GRISELL (1946-). The work is in excellent condition, and needs just a (standard size, easy to find) frame. Grisell is a New Milford, Connecticut native and has lived her life mostly in Litchfield County in the scenic northwestern part of the state. The area has a rich artistic history, having attracted painters since the 19th century...

A small nicely worked watercolor painting of a sun-washed plaza in a Greek town, a man leading a mule in the foreground. Measurements are 7" by 4" (drawing itself) and 13" by 10" framed. The artist signed in red at lower right, presumably in Greek. Condition is excellent.

Offered is a large pastel drawing of late 19th century style coastal racing sailing craft near a buoy in a churning sea under a partly cloudy sky, signed at lower left "S E Wood 1897", the art itself measuring 16 1/4" by 27 1/4" (30" by 42" in mid 20th century scalloped wood frame)...

Impressionist small contemporary painting of a knoll in sunlight and shadow, 8" by 10", unframed, unsigned. This is a quickly executed work, almost a sketch in oil, by an anonymous but skilled artist. It is in excellent condition. The regular size would facilitate buying a suitable frame at a modest price.

A circa 1960's to early 1970's oil on board painting in earth tones of dark brown, tan and cream, unsigned, 9" by 22" as framed in black with gold and an orange velvet liner (pure 60's!). The imagery could be purely abstract though to me, a skyline and reflection of that skyline in water is suggested----such as Manhattan from the New Jersey side of the river. A very Mid Century addition to your interior.

A late 20th century oil on canvas still life of fruits and flowers on a table top, unsigned, but with a word, possibly Russian, written on the stretcher. The work measures 18" by 26" (20 1/2" by 29" in white framing). I note a few flaws: a very small puncture at bottom center, mostly repaired, from reverse side; and two parallel vertical marks at left, and a very small not-quite-tear at left. All this sounds far worse than it is...
