A decorative print after a seventeenth century ink drawing by Dutch Golden Age painter GERBRAND VAN DEN EECKHOUT (1621-1674), titled on reverse label "Zeichner vor einem Bauernhause Sitzend" ("Artist Seated in Front of a Farmhouse"). The print measures 5 3/4" by 7 3/4" (15 3/4" by 17" framed). The brownish ink and pebbled paper creates a very convincing piece that could almost be mistaken for an actual old drawing...

Original, very scarce (edition of 30?) unframed 1909 etching known as "Pittsburgh, no. II", signed at lower right center in pencil by the important American etcher, illustrator, critic, author and teacher JOSEPH PENNELL (1857-1926). Evidently, Pennell himself printed this particular example as "imp" is written after his name. The sheet, heavily trimmed at three sides as seen, measures 9" by 12"...

Arthur J. T. Briscoe, British, 1873-1943, "Drydock". This 1928 marine etching by the British printmaker Arthur Briscoe measures 12 1/8 x 8 7/8 inches, hand signed in ink and editioned as 7/75. Briscoe studied at the Slade Art School and the Academy Julian in Paris and then spent the rest of his time sailing, becoming one of the most prominent British marine artists of the 20th century. A woodblock print on hand-made paper, the subject a female nude, as originally published in 1921 in the French language literary and art magazine Les Cahiers d'Aujourd'hui. According to information affixed to the backing, this is "original work done on hand laid paper", which was "string-tied" into the hand-bound booklet. Elyse Ashe Lord 1900-1971 British This is a fine hand colored etching by British artist Elyse Ashe Lord. The title is Kite Flying, created and printed circa 1925. This pencil signed impression was sold by Arthur Ackermann in New York. This came to us in the original Asian style frame with the Ackermann label on the back. The image measures 12 7/8X18 inches. The overall frame measures 20X26 inches. Very fine condition. Printed on a thin Japan type sheet.
