John Taylor Arms 1887-1953 American This is an artists proof etching by American artist John Taylor Arms. The title is Limoges, part of his French Church Series created and printed in 1932. This etching is hand signed in pencil with an image size of 10 1/16X13 5/8. This image is inscribed lower right: "Beautiful impression, pulled by D.S. and J.T.A." Inscribed also as artist proof number III. Printed on a J. Whatman watermarked laid type paper. A beautiful impression.

By the Liege, Belgium-born artist ARMAND HENRION (1875-1958), a fine color etching in oval shape, of two clowns in full makeup, pencil signed and numbered 19/500. The artist is known today for his wonderfully expressive depictions of the clown, as well as mime reactions. Most of the works are actually self portraits. Original etching LA REVUE (The Review) by Jacques Callot printed in 1627, second state of two, Lieure catalog number 592. The print was done just before Callot started working on a huge print “Le Siege de Breda” and must have been done for better understanding of military formations. The print is in excellent condition, framed and glazed, not inspected outside of frame. Plate size 12.0 x 16.0 cm (4 3/4 x 6 5/16 inches), frame size 8 3/4 x 11 3/4 inches...

"Stephen Parrish". This etching was made by Parrish after his painting, "A Fishing Hamlet, Bay of Fundy--Evening, which was shown at the National Academy of Design in March 1882.

A group of three etchings of New York City subject matter, each pencil signed and titled by the artist LEON LOUIS DOLICE (1892-1960). The three titles are "Fish Market", "Metropolitan Tower", and "NJ Waterfront". "Metropolitan Tower" is the largest, the printed area measuring 10 1/4" by 7 1/4"; the other two are 7 1/2" by 6" (printed area). Interestingly the prints are all printed off-center or otherwise at irregular angles on the sheets...

Peter Moran, American, 1842-1914, "Through the Meadows". This is a beautiful, richly inked original etching by Peter Moran, image size 13 x 19 7/8 inches, published in 1886 by Klackner. It is state IV/IV, cat: Wright-92, pencil signed and titled on the lower margin. This image is listed with the title "Through the Meadow Stream" in the Wright catalog, although there are several alternate titles including the one that appears on this impression.

ONE OF A NUMBER BY THE ARTIST IN MY SHOP**This is a small etching (the sheet 6" by 8 1/4", presently in an old tired mat but not framed), by the noted California artist HARRIET GENE ROUDEBUSH (1908-1998), titled at lower left margin "View From Top of the Mark" and pencil signed at lower right by the artist.
