A print, fine offset type dots showing under magnification, 13" by 9 1/2" (19 1/2" by 16 1/2" in gold framing, no glass), pencil signed by the artist, MARC CHAGALL (1887-1985) at lower right corner. On the backing is a January 2, 1996 photo certificate/declaration by autograph appraiser and author Herman Darvick, attesting to the authenticity of the signature. To the naked eye the work looks exactly like a true lithograph, but it is not...

A PAIR of lithographs, one of a male, another of a woman, the larger work 24" by 17 3/4" inside the mat (28 1/2" by 22 1/4" framed), the other 19" by 16 3/4" (23 1/2" by 21" framed), both signed in Hebrew in the plate, the larger print numbered 1/50 at lower left in pencil. The works are in black ink though the larger piece exhibits faint blue in the background and light red in the cap. The larger piece has two short edge tears, one at upper left (about 2"), the other at top (about 3/4").

A circa 1940's restrike print of the popular ice skating scene from "American Winter Scenes" series, measuring 17" by 23 3/4" inside the mat and 23 3/4" by 30 1/2" framed. The title was evidently cut off from central bottom portion at one point and was then affixed to reverse side. Coloring is in the print most likely and not hand coloring. Retains old brown framer's label of "The Brown Shop", a mid-century Pasadena, California art and frame shop...

A lithograph print of a typical northern New Mexican adobe house of the Santa Fe and Taos region, signed in the plate at lower center with what appears as "J Hill" and dated nearby 48. The black and white image measures 6 1/4" by 9 1/4" inside the mat, 15" by 17 1/2" in simple black wood strip frame. Not examined out of frame but appears very clean and fresh. I have not been able to locate a listed artist by this name that would correspond to this work.

Original 1974 Marc Chagall (1887-1985) color lithograph on lustrous Japon Nacre paper, the title "King David" (1974)---Sorlier #721, the sheet 11 1/2" by 8 1/4", measuring 9 1/2" by 7 1/2" inside the present mat, and 16" by 13" simply framed. The print is not laid down, but is taped to the mat, at the corners, on the reverse side...

Original lithograph in colors, on smooth wove paper, "Stars" (French version was known as "Etoiles"), 1938, after a gouache by the well-known important Russian modern artist WASSILY KANDINSKY (1866-1944). This print, signed at lower left in the stone with Kandinsky's "K" monogram, was published by Teriade, Paris, for publication in the French avant-garde magazine Verve.
