Original bronze bas relief sculpture by Elysee Cavaillon (France, 1874-1946). Mounted on a walnut stand and measuring an impressive 20" by 12" (bronze and stand together). Signed lower left.
Cavaillon was born in Nimes and studied at the Beaux Arts in Paris. He was a member of the "bande a Schnegg" with a number of other sculptors like Despiau and Pompon with whom he exhibited. Well listed and collected.
